New "End of Time" picture released

Gonna have to argue with the my Mum about the Corrie clash!! Should be able to win out!
I'm up against my whole family on this one when I visit for Christmas. To make things worse the analog was switched off this year in my home town so that means that everyone has to watch through one digital box. So this is going to be a big problem. I would have got away with it if corrie was on before or after but now i'm in a real pickle. :scream:

Edit: they love Emerdale too :scream:

I learned the hard way a few christmas' back that though I can watch it while I'm with my family, it's a really bad idea...so I'll vid it and watch it when I get home later on on Christmas day evening!

^ Of course. Can't very well put Donna there next to the Doctor. She'll explode on contact. Or whatever the metacrisis does to her.

I'm intrigued as to how they're going to work around that one in TEOT.

They'll do what Doctor Who always does. Make up some bullshit reason to contradict the previous bullshit reason, and negate whatever emotional impact it was meant to have. Remember how he shouldn't have been able to see Rose again?

Just hope they come up with a reasonable reason for the Master to be back. Not too fond of his choice of clothing. But ah well. And hmmm, could he be trying to grow his 'rubbish beard' back? :)

I only use 'Nu' once in awhile when I need to differentiate the classic series from the current one.

Oh give it a rest. Don't you have your own thread where you can go to hate on the show?

Lucky you can record it! Yeah I think it's not good idea to watch it with people who aren't interested in it. I watched the first Christmas Special with my family and they thought it weird, afterwards they then changed over to Corrie where one of the families was trying to cook a Christmas Turkey with a sunbed :vulcan:

Actually I think Donna's meta-crisis might play into the crisis that the Doctor and Master are facing and I like the fact that it's taking place during Christmas as well. I like the suggestion that the Eleventh Doctor would develop some sort of phobia...it would make a contrast to the Tenth who has stated on many occasions that he loves Christmas! The poster looks great. Good to see Wilf again and the Master kind of does look a bit like Eminem. Quite a contrast from his days as the British Prime Minister.

IIRC, Tennant wanted The Doctor a regeneration akin to when #5 changed to #6 in The Caves of Androzani; therefore, my guess is that he could be sacrificing himself to save Donna.

*** Edited to clarify my statement

I'm kind of glad they're indeed going with a Christmas theme for the finale. Tennant came in with Christmas, so it's only fitting he'd go out with Christmas. It'd be hilarious if Matt Smith's Doctor developed a phobia for Christmas after this!
In which case it might be appropriate to bring this out again:

(incidentally, I don't recall who originally created and/or posted this, but it's brilliant!)

Nice Lense Flare. :techman:

Great. I love the look of The Master. Hes gone all moody and unshaven.

Looks like Wilf has a big role in proceedings too.

Again, going on what we saw of teh christmas special, the advancing Ood seems a plot point, but is The Master resposible? Obviously well have to wait and see. He's screwed with Earth, so this time, hes going for the socially superior Ood.

Cant wait.

Oh my God, I'm so sorry. My opinion was more critical and differed from yours. How could I be so insensitive.

* Edges out of thread against the back wall and quietly through the open door.*

* Sneaks back in to get my half eaten sandwich off the table *

* Sneaks back out *

Cool it, both of you. All opinions are welcome here, but just HOW they are expressed is just as important.

If I could I'd send a Christmas card to all the guys that make the iPlayer happen. Gave my family a peaceful Christmas for the past few years of Dr Who/Corrie clashes. :bolian:

Today the official website made available seven wallpapers for The End of Time, including two made from the image above (one is more zoomed in on the three).

Ooooo I like! It's so good to see the Master again!
Agreed, but he does NOT look good in blond. Bring back the dark hair plz.

IIRC it's one of the focuses of the plot, so they're working with it, not around it.

Maybe it's just me, but I always thought that John Simm looked like the love child of Simon Pegg and Clay Aiken.
