I love..GAGA!!!

^ I don't know. I heard this from a person I never meet and had no proof what so ever to support these claims. But his/her/its arguments were very convincing - "Gaga's got a wang-wang"

Never seen any interviews, so my media exposure is her whoring it up for the cameras, which is always unattractive to me.

But yes, she does write catchy songs.

Beyond that, no real opinion for now.

Except for the whole ladyboy thing :wtf:

Her interview on Jay Leno made me think she's Madonna 2.0. Particularly the part about her being Italian and from New York.

But yes, she does write catchy songs.

That's a good question. Does she actually write them?

I mean, I already respect her as an artist/singer. I'd respect her even MORE if she actually wrote her songs. Few artists anymore writer their own music. While, for example, I can't stand Taylor Swift's music, I highly respect her as she does most of her own writing.

Yep, she's always written (or at least co-written) all her own stuff.

Wow. Then I respect her even more. I'd like to think that I believed she always contributed (you can sense a continuity in tone and style), but I also had some hunches that it was committee driven music (not that that is a bad thing). At any rate, I have respect for ANY singer (even those who pen music that I hate) who also writes their own stuff.

She just might be here to stay.

I love Lady GaGa. I liked her the moment I heard "Poker Face". She upped the ante with "Paparazzi" and "Just Dance". I love her music, her personality, the fact that she is very talented, and that she likes to push the envelope. Also, I think she's very hot. :adore:

Only time I care about the word "Gaga" is if it is immediately preceded by another word, "Radio". ;)
Well, that's where that part of Lady Gaga's name comes from - she's a HUGE Queen fan - so.... ;)
I don't know, the biggest question concerning Gaga I've seen around the net is whether it should be Ladyboy Gaga?
I'll admit I was wondering that myself, until last night. That outfit left nothing to the imagination, and while she has very little endowment up top, the spread of her posterior on the piano bench was definitely female.

I approve of this entire post and everything therein. :D

She is classically-trained and has been writing songs since she was a teenager. She also wrote songs for Britney Spears and others before she really broke her own recording career. While I'm not exactly sure how much of any given song is purely her work, considering that she got her start as a songwriter, it's a safe bet the lyrics, melodies, and hooks are predominantly hers. Dance music being what it is, there are producers involved who know how to get the best sounds out of the equipment--something she is probably not quite as skilled at, though she has demonstrated some aptitude with synths.

I don't know if she has staying power, but she seems to know her way around the business, and she's very good to her fans--you can go far with qualities like those.

I had never seen her before the AMA show, and then last night she was on Jay Leno. The song was interesting, but I really liked the interview. She came off pretty intelligent. She won me over when she said she idolized Judy Garland AND Led Zepplin. Wow...

Well heck, I like Zep and Neil Young, give me a medal. How does this make her special or more talented? (Just asking in a literal sense)

I'll say it again; her performance, and more importantly, her songs were far and away the best part of that show. All the other women were awful..she was unique AND her songs actually had some great chord progressions.

So...yes, GAGA was good!!

Well to each their own, but it's kinda like Homer guarding the Bee in a Jar situation with the other two morons..... just because you are smarter then those you hold company with, doesn't actually mean you're a genius.

Considering what I seen from the music industry in the last 8-10 years, you could drop a lump of crap in front of a mic, sprinkle glitter on it and you can sell it as gold. It doesn't actually have to sing, we can make it better, faster, stronger......... we have the technology..... and people will buy it because of the lack of options and because we tell them to.

She's better then most of the crap out there today, I'll agree on that..... but things have a looonnngg way to go to get back to any decent quality I'd bother to pay for or waste any of my life on.

I heard better lyrics from a Wiggles song. Anybody can google that to know what Wiggles are, you'll get the joke then.

yeah.....her music makes me want to hang myself. Other than that I guess she's alright

Hi clint..

Yeah, I can see why she is not everyone's cup of tea. But after watching the dreadful music that night, she was the lone performer that I actually remembered. The country-rap-and the slutty girls (even Carrie Underwood came off as slutty) was a bad indicator of where music is today.

Now, it is true, I don't listen to today's music. But I did watch the show, and we didn't fast-forward. And I was amazed at how bad song really was.

And when, out of nowhere, she sat and played the piano (with her legs spread, which was 'interesting') and sang this very haunting ballad, after a night of crappy country-rap, I was reall floored.

Yes, earlier Alica Keys played piano, but I find her to be highly over-rated.

So, yeah, I can understand why people wouldn't like Gaga, and thats cool. I am so old now, and have heard so much music in my life. And to see where modern music is, as represented on the AMA, I really love to dig into my old LPs and listen the great stuff from the past.

Personally, I don't feel the least bit ashamed about liking "current" music. I love old stuff. I love new stuff. I'm not a genre hater, either. As long as it's got a good sound, I'm down with it.

There was a rumor going on about that, but it is false. It originated from some youtube video of her singing on stage where she jumped up on a motorcycle and did some leg-kick turn thing and it looked like she had a pretty big buldge in her panty area.

It could have just been the angle, or she could have purposely jammed something there to make it look like she had one for yet more attention, but she doesn't have a wang-chung, which can be seen on a number of her music videos or concerts.

Then again, if she did turn out to have one, it wouldn't really suprise me.

I think she's gorgeous. :D

Anyway, she has a lot of potential, and I think if she can keep mixing that combination of music/sex/fashion competently and as adeptly as she has, she could easily become a top rated artist.
