I've just purchased the remasterd TOS. Overall it's great, the've cleaned up the films and added bits like phaser fire, buildings and made the Enterprise look like its just had a paint job.
The extras are good as well, there are the normal interviews, making of stuff etc but also which pleased me was that there is an animated episode 'More Tribbles, More Troubles', now I have to confess that this is the first time that I have ever scene any of the animated programmes! Also included is the DS9 episode 'Trials and Tribulations', which is one of my favourite DS9 ep.
They have also put 'The Cage' in the set but strangely on the disc in Season 3, why they did I don't know? But they put the unaired pilot (bw & col mix) and the aired version of the cage.
I know that there are probably the purists who don't like remastered films but I have to that this set is well worth it, even the embossed tin holders each tin coloured differently to represent the three main uniforms.
