Captain Jack: What's not to like?
Gwen: She's like the rational bit of the team, plus she's cute.
Toshiko: I wanted to see more of her...till the idiot writers killed her off.
Plus she was a hottie, also.

1) Gwen. She's hot, she punkish, and you can just fall into that gap (meaning she's not the typical American Hollywood bimbo - she's a real (Welsh?) woman).
2) Captain Jack. Just so mysterious and troubled. And he can't die.

Captain Jack - Because, dude, it's Captain Jack! The guy has so many layers and has seen so much.
Gwen - she's hot and doesn't take any b.s. from anybody.
Rhys - he's like the everyman who has stumbled upon all the weirdness that is Torchwood and what they do, and it's fun to see how he reacts to it.

PC Andy is the only character on that show that I like.

Torchwood's characters make Enterprise's characters look deep and interesting. Even Mayweather.

Y'know, I find the Torchwood characters to be pretty unlikeable as a whole. Having said that, I do like Ianto; Jack's cute, and PC Andy is my third favourite. On the whole though, I dislike the characters I dislike more than I like the ones I like - if that makes any sense!

1. Owen Harper. Generally, my favorite characters on shows tend to be the most abrasive ones (Gaius Balter, Kurt Mendel, Rodney McKay, Arnold Rimmer, Eric Cartman, etc.).
2. Toshiko Sato. Generally, my other favorite characters on shows tend to be my fellow nerds. Plus, she gets many bonus points for her scenes with Mary in "Greeks Bearing Gifts."
3. Rhys. He's just such a good guy. I'm so glad they let him in on the secret of Torchwood.
Honorable mention: Ianto used to be my favorite back in Season 1 when he was chronically underused. Once he started getting more screentime in Seasons 2 & 3, he was less of an underdog and my interest waned.
You mean the giant Letterman gap between her teeth?
I'll admit I've warmed up to Gwen lately. Generally, she leaves me cold but she is really cute whenever she's onscreen with Rhys.

Agreed on all counts. I do love Frobisher and Andy though.

And the episode where we see Jack shot gunning hillbillies and rednecks is action gold.
