BMW Z4 Spanked by a VW GTI

I wouldn't say no to a M3 or M6. But there are other cars with way better performance for less money.

Yeah but there's something about a BMW. To me, it doesn't really matter how fast i get there, it's how i get there. I'd rather get there in luxury. Plus i have a soft spot for BMW.

Eh, they make nice engines but like all German luxury cars they're overpriced.

That being said BMW over Mercedes any day.

Please tell me that was the Autobahn and these douchebags weren't doing this on a speed-restricted highway where people have the desire to survive their trip.

It probably wasn't stock, but :techman: to the VW. I've long liked VWs. I used to like BMWs and Mercedes, but over the past number of years I think they've gotten ugly in general--I just don't like their sense of aesthetics.

It probably ended like this.

The dead giveaway that it wasn't in the US is that A) the road wasn't patched anywhere, and B) people moved over from the left lane to the right lane. ;)

Ummm ..., love ya like my luggage, Shameless, but I have to ask: have you noticed how often your friend's BMW is in the shop? I ask because, everyone I've ever known who's owned one ends up in the dealership's "courtesy car" at least as often as they're in their own, and -- not kidding -- spending an average of $1000/month on repairs. I love the look of BMWs but, in all seriousness, in the 20 years I've lived in Boston, every single person i know who's owned one has had it in the shop constantly and has spent so much money on repairs that it has turned me off completely.

And there's that, too.

Just sayin'. ;)
