What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and why

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

There's a deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith. General Grevous has cornered Obi-Wan & Anakin and the two of them suggest to each other various ways to get out of it, all using hand signals.
"What about (hand gesture)?"
"No, no, there are far too many of them for that."

Ewan McGregor has such a playful twinkle in his eyes in these scenes.

Why give that bit the chop, yet keep the atrociously embarrasing bits instead? :borg:

Mine would be:

Mr. Fisto helping 3PO with his wrong body problem.

The Stormtrooper's head hitting a door that was rising, and the lead Storm Trooper saying, "Look after him".

"Close the blast doors!" Solo jumps through it. "Open the blast doors! Open the blast doors!"

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

The fact that Stormtroopers can't seem to grasp the concept of aiming their weapons. Obi-Won saying about Imperial Storm Troopers being precise makes me wonder if these are the same Storm Troopers that he is referring to.

Imperial crews not being able to control those clucker Star Destroyers, the fact that none of the other Star Destroyers cound see the Falchon stuck on that one Star Destroyer, and the fact the ENTIRE Super Star Destroyer went down from a tiny fighter crashing into the bridge. The smashed-up Constellaion held up far better. ;)

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

I can't believe nobody has mentioned my personal favorite line... (or maybe I missed it)

ESB - when Han is trying (and trying) to start the Millenium Falcon:
Leia - "Would it help if I got out and pushed?" :guffaw:
The icing on the cake is Han's response: "It might."

and can we ever forget,
"Would somebody get this big walking carpet out of my way?"

Chewie scaring the mouse robot on the Death Star.

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

"No time to discuss this with the committee!"
"I am not a committee!"

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

CHEWIE: "Arrr arg aargh ur." ("The old man is crazy!"
HAN: Boy you said it, Chewie.
Han looks at Luke.
HAN: Where did you dig up that old fossil?
LUKE: Ben is a great man.
HAN: Yeah, great at getting us into trouble.
LUKE: I didn't hear you give any ideas...
HAN: Well, anything would be better than just hanging around waiting
for him to pick us up...
LUKE: Who do you think...
Suddenly Artoo begins to whistle and beep a blue streak.
Luke goes over to him.
LUKE: What is it?
THREEPIO: I'm afraid I'm not quite sure, sir. He says "I found her",
and keeps repeating, "She's here."
LUKE: Well, who...who has he found?
Artoo whistles a frantic reply.
THREEPIO: Princess Leia.
LUKE: The princess? She's here?
HAN: Princess? What's going on?
THREEPIO: Level five. Detention block A A-twenty-three. I'm afraid
she's scheduled to be terminated.
LUKE: Oh, no! We've got to do something.
HAN: What are you talking about?
LUKE: The droid belongs to her. She's the one in the message.. We've
got to help her.
HAN: Now, look, don't get any funny ideas. The old man wants us to
wait right here.
LUKE: But he didn't know she was here. Look, will you just find a way
back into the detention block?
HAN: I'm not going anywhere.
LUKE: They're going to execute her. Look, a few minutes ago you said
you didn't want to just wait here to be captured. Now all you want to
do is stay.
HAN: Marching into the detention area is not what I had in mind.
LUKE: But they're going to kill her!
HAN: Better her than me...
LUKE: She's rich.
Chewbacca growls.
HAN: Rich?
LUKE: Yes. Rich, powerful! Listen, if you were to rescue her, the
reward would be...
HAN: What?
LUKE: Well more wealth that you can imagine.
HAN: I don't know, I can imagine quite a bit!
LUKE: You'll get it!
HAN: I better!
LUKE: You will...
HAN: All right, kid. But you'd better be right about this.
Han looks at Chewie, who grunts a short grunt.
LUKE: All right.
HAN: What's your plan?
LUKE: Uh...Threepio, hand me those binders there will you?
Luke moves toward Chewbacca with electronic cuffs.
LUKE: Okay. Now, I'm going to put these on you.
Chewie lets out a hideous growl.
LUKE: Okay. Han, you put these on.
Luke sheepishly hands the binders to Han.
HAN: Don't worry, Chewie. I think I know what he has in mind.
The Wookiee has a worried and frightened look on his face
as Han binds him with the electronic cuffs.

THREEPIO: Master Luke, sir! Pardon me for asking...but, ah...what
should Artoo and I do if we're discovered here?
LUKE: Lock the door!
HAN: And hope they don't have blasters.
THREEPIO: That isn't very reassuring.

-------------------

My single favorite moment in all of the saga, bar none, is my favorite because I was so young when I saw it, and realized it was the funniest moment I've ever seen in a film. It told me that I could sit back and enjoy it. I laughed out loud. I still do, and it still is the funniest moment in a movie: Han, screaming as he chases down stormtroopers by himself.

Anything with Jar-Jar Binks. I thought he was a SCREAM!

::runs::

Seriously? Probably "Let the Wookie win"...

When we first see Yoda in Ep 5. The scene with Luke, R2, and Yoda is priceless.

While it's not ha-ha funny, I like the scene in Return of the Jedi where C-3PO is recapping the previous movies for the Ewoks. It's an ironic role for the droid who described himself as "only an interpreter and not very good at telling stories; well, not at making them very interesting anyway" back in A New Hope.

Because the scene was part of a larger subplot that had been excised from the opening of the film where Obi-Wan & Anakin track down the 1st pair of Jedi sent to rescue Chancellor Palpatine, only to find that General Grievous has already captured them.

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

:guffaw: I can't stop laughing after seeing that! I can see Vader actually doing something like that just to mess with people.

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

Han starting up the Falon during the escape from Hoth. He turns on the console, it starts up and then dies, and then he smacks it and it comes back on.

Shows that the falchon's a pile of crap, and that I'd never want to be on it, especially in his ownership. :shifty:

Don't worry, she'll hold together.

(Hear me baby? Hold together!)

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

LEIA: "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought."

HAN: "Nice, come on."

I'd rather have one of Voyager's shuttlecrafts with a retarded orangutan & a drunken Sulu flying it. :p

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

^^^I never found that funny, but I loved that bit of detail. I thought it really made that universe come alive.
uh, you know, as that guy died...

The realism in that is beautiful. You see an asteroid just tear apart of a Star Destroyer's bridge.

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

I think my favorite part is the endless double entendres in New Hope. I remember seeing the SpecEd in theaters in '97 and we were just laughing our asses off because we had never looked at the dialogue that way before. I think it started when I started whispering to my buddy about Penis-Face (the Imperial spy who rats out Luke at Mos Eisley) and Ass-Face (the alien who picks a fight with Luke in the cantina). And do you notice how Penis-Face is constantly playing with the tip of his "nose" whenever he appears? Seriously.

Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and

Don't forget the dirtiest unintentionally dirty line in the history of cinema:

"Luke, at that speed, are you sure you'll be able to pull out in time?"
