Re: What for you,are the funniest moments in the 6 Star Wars films and
Boy, so many good scenes, so little space- but here goes, anyway...........
TPM: Obi-Wan's "short negotiations" line to Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon's "sound of a thousand bad things..." line to Jar-Jar and Obi-Wan's contribution to trying to persuade Jar-Jar to help them (he really sounded like he was channeling the late Sir Alec Guinness in that scene) Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Jar-Jar's underwater trip to Theed ("There's always a bigger fish"). Jar-Jar's QUICK surrender at the end, particularly when the other Gungan facepalms. Anakin's insistence on staying in the ship at the end ("Qui-Gon told me to stay here and that's what I'm doing"- or something like that) and his "accidental" destruction of the Trade Federation flagship. Kinda corny, yeah, but still fun to watch.
AOTC: Obi-Wan and Anakin's speeder chase through Coruscant and the bar/"death sticks" scene. Yoda "teasing" Obi-Wan about "losing" Kamino. Obi-Wan's battle with Jango and Boba Fett, particularly when Obi-Wan realizes that he is going to get drug off the platform with him. Boba's rooting for his father was kind of fun-how you would expect a normal kid his age might act. Obi-Wan's reaction to Anakin Anakin's comment about them being on Geonosis to rescue him ("Oh, nice job"). I know this may sound kind of sick but I always get a kick out of Mace's swift and sudden decapitation of Jango Fett. It's just so......unexpected and Mace seems so nonchalant about it.
ROTS: Most of the opening space battle with Anakin and Obi-Wan along with R2 and his fight with the battle droids and their attempted escape (and their "happy landing") from Grievous' flagship. There are some really good scenes in the novelization of ROTS where Obi-Wan tries to convince Grievous to surrender to them when they are brought to him on the bridge. There is also a scene where Grievous brutally rips a cowardly Neimoidan in pieces when he hesitates in following his orders and a holo transmission between Grievous and Lieutenant Needa (from ESB) where they discuss his surrender. There isn't a whole lot more that happens in the movie that is "funny" per se but I did like Obi-Wan's "so uncivilized" line after blasting Grievous in the chest, killing him. Yoda decapitating the troopers sent to kill him on Kashykk and casually "force pushing" the Senate Guards in Palpatine's office was fun to watch. The verbal exchange between Yoda and Palpatine/Sidious was quite good as well. That dark part of me also derived some satisfaction at seeing Anakin/Vader casually lock all of the doors and proceed to mow down the Separatist leaders- mostly because the Separatists had been so thoroughly duped by Palpatine/Sidious that Anakin Skywalker had to have been the LAST person they ever expected walking into the control room at that point.
ANH: Too many to mention but just about any scene with the Luke, Han, Leia, et. al was priceless. The chemistry between all of them was wonderful on the Death Star. I loved the satisfaction of seeing Vader's ship getting knocked off course and sent spinning off into space by Han at the end.
ESB: All of the banter between Han and Leia and C-3PO, Luke's initial interactions with Yoda. Chewbacca angrily choking Lando once he freed them. Leia:"Oh, we understand, don't we Chewie? He had NO choice!" C-3P0: "Trust him, trust him!!"
ROTJ: Loved C-3P0 and R2-D2's journey to Jabba's palace and C-3P0's horror at discovering that Luke was offering them to Jabba in return for Han. The Sail Barge scene, particularly when Han sends Fett spiraling into the Sarlacc. I liked Han and Lando's goodbye before he left for Endor. I didn't care for most of the Ewok scenes but I liked it when Luke made the Ewoks believe that C-3P0 was a god and when Han gives C-3P0 a long list of things to do then tells him to hurry up. Admiral Ackbar's "It's a trap!!" line is a classic as well.
