You've been here for several years bud. You know what you're up against when you post here. At least you're a fellow Yankees fan!

Please don't bring up things that are totally irrelevant. I was never warned for being a fan of a sports team, and I don't think you were either.

Although the high spirited discussions I've gotten into have been fun, I admit that.

But I in no way consider it a flame or trolling considering I didn't name anyone instead I used a vague group of people.

Like I said, I've seen warnings given for less. A good friend of mine got warned just recently (for something which I didn't personally think was a flame, unlike this), *also* without naming any specific person.

;)

Um, the vast majority of people not covered are those that pay little or no taxes. The rest of us generally want reform, but not ANOTHER government trainwreck.

Do you have verifiable numbers for that vast majority or are you just making stuff up again?

Yeah I do. BHO's approval ratings are in the toilet. Need a link?

Nah. We're good. If 50% is the "toilet", what was Bush in when you were supporting him (still) late last year when he was sitting pretty with half that?

^ Who the hell is that?

And in case you were wondering: I've gotten warnings, but for spamming, which I deserved. (Go ahead, check out my profile if you don't believe me.)

I find it likely that if the user name that posted this message had not been green, there'd be a warning there. I've personally seen warnings given for less.
Then I apologize. I'm used to TNZ and actually don't think of that as a flame anymore than saying I hate people in hats.

I usually have a knack for missing the obvious, but even I haven't missed the fact that this isn't TNZ...

Or are mods exempt from all warnings? The double standard is alive and well, apparently.

Whatever the Misc mods decide, you only just notified on it. Which, you know, means they've only just been notified of a potential rule violation. They still have to log in, see the notification, read the post and decide what to do.

What good does it do to flounce around the thread crying about the lack of a warning for a post that was made twenty minutes ago?

None of the Misc mods are even online.

I know that they aren't exempt. In fact quite a while ago there was a mod who even warned himself on one occasion.

Apologies if I seemed like I was putting on a timetable, that was not my intention. I wasn't expecting anything to be done *right now*. I'm just questioning whether mods are also subject to being warned. Do they have a "moderator Internal Affairs"?

I don't remember any instance of a mod (or a rocker  ) ever getting warned - I always thought that by virtue of their position, they could say whatever they wanted to whoever they wanted.

Then Bush must have been in the septic tank towards the end. Hell 50% is probably enough to win an election. Unless he completely screws up the country Obama has nothing to worry about. Which given that he actually thinks about situations before diving headfirst into things he should be fine.

Concerned enough to advocate UHC :)

Not enough to do something yourself, just enought to demand someone else do it.

So you decided to nothing at all but expect someone else to do it? If you can't do it then why would someone else be able to do it?
You should refresh you civics, Ryan. The government is you. They are elected by the people, use public money and ultimately respond to the people. Making the government to do something, is making it yourself. So all your "arguments" fall apart.

You said that if he weren't a mod, there'd be a warning there, and gave it as proof of a double standard. It sure sounded like you were blasting the mods for ignoring it.

In any case, the general practice has been that flaming is against individuals, not groups. There might be a case for the comment being trolling, but it's not a flame.

Given my history, if it were trolling I'd be a lot crueler with the remarks and there would be pictures. I'm an one trick pony, two if you count the Jewel obsession.

Bush!!!!!!! (good job...as always)

Let's hope he "thinks about" supporting our men and women in Afghanistan before his approval rating dips below it's current sub-50% level.

At the most recent President it is a valid comparison unless you feel that he should never be compared to anyone else. Bush does have longer hair than Obama though, so that's something.

Given that he is doing something about Afghanistan is a good sign, much better than just ignoring it.

Of course anyone who actually cared about the lives of the men and women under their command - to say nothing of the many more men and women who aren't - wouldn't send them off to fight in endless imperial adventures in the first place. But then war has been America's chief industry for the last half-century. It's difficult to shake these things.
