A friend of mine eventually badgered me into watching the film after it came out on DVD. After an hour and change, I got up, apologized, and left; I simply could not stand to sit there and watch these vapid idiots stare at each other any longer. There are bad movies, and then there are movies which are the cinematic equivalent of nails on a chalkboard--incessantly. I've not seen a film this shallow, poorly paced, apathetically acted, terribly written both in terms on plot and character, and yet utterly enamoured of itself without a trace of irony, deluded into thinking itself relevant and poignant, since "Gods and Generals". What utter tripe.
