Okay, SINGLE Trek film you could not live without.

As much as I love all the movies, I find that I must choose Voyage Home- it's not my favourite, but if I could only own ONE, that would have to be it, I think.
If YOU could only own one, which would it be?

Chrisisall? I don't suppose you post (or used to post) on Fireflyfans.net?

As for the question, I'd probably have to say Generations. I preferred the newest film, but Generations is basically the end of TNG for me.

Hi Guys,

Afraid would have to be TSFS every time. Featuring what in my humble opinion was the best incarnation of the Enterprise ever, Kirk showing his true rebellious colours, and the finest crew ever, all pulling together. Incredibly sad loss of the Enterprise however, pity they made the Enterprise A so similar looking from the outside, as it isn't a patch on the original.

TWOK. Its really the best Trek film ever, and if it lacks anything, its in the SFX, which in comparison to TMP's don't hold up as well. But still, TWOK is the Trek that inspired me the most.

Plus, its the most important Trek, to boot. ;)

TWOK. Not only is it, IMHO, the greatest Trek film ever, but it is the film that cemented my status as a Trek fan. For that, it will always hold a special place for me.

And back then Kirstie Alley was hot.

Gotta go with "Star Trek: First Contact". I love "The Wrath of Khan" and "The Voyage Home" but they've both got parts I don't like and "First Contact" is the only one I find perfect - pure bliss from start to finish. :)

TWOK. Just because everytime I watch it I'm reminded how back in 1982 when we saw it we knew Star Trek was FINALLY back!

Happily surprised there are any votes not for TWOK.

For me, Star Trek: First Contact. Best of all 11 films without question, even if XI comes close. Best uniforms, best soundtrack, best ship, best acting, and it amazingly uses two things that I expected to be tired of, but are used extremely well (the Borg and time travel). Barclay, Kellogg, Ogawa, and the EMH all show up too, which I liked, and everyone is given something to do even if it's minor.

For me it is TMP SLV. That is the almost perfect film for me. It is the only one that made me feel that I could actually be there and it is the only one to feel like it is how a real starship would be run in such a situation plus it is almost entirely in space with no beaming down to a planet and it is investigation something way out of the ordinary.

I could live without all of them, to be honest. :p

I couldn't choose between TSFS and First Contact, anyway.

Oh, this is a terrible choice to have to make! Personally, I could live without them although I'd be severely, severely depressed!

However, since we're working from a theoretical, I would have to say "Star Trek XI". I have been itching like a crack addict stuck without his fix waiting for this movie to come out on Blu-ray. All the previous movies, I was able to wait quite patiently. Not this time.

J.

XI, it set an emotional standard that the others, except for II of course, can't match and its one that I thoroughly enjoy watching.
