Okay, SINGLE Trek film you could not live without.

I will have to go with TWOK. A little on the deliciously cheesy side, lots of "dramatic" acting and lots of fun. Though, I can't understand why the music is strangely... upbeat while Spock's messing about in the reactor room. Good old Horner. :)

I have to say Star Trek XI, its my most favorite. It is the one movie I couldnt wait for to come out on dvd/blu ray. It was just so hard to wait on it, I loved it soo much that I had to watch 6 times after I bought it! I just can't help it I love everything about this movie!

The Motion Picture definetly.

Just kidding. I thought the topic was "SINGLE Trek film you would ditch and drive 100 miles into the Nevada desert to bury in a shallow grave"

I'd have to go for STII for my final answer. Perfect movie, first Trek film I ever watched. Could have been the last, but was so good it turned out to be what Trek needed in its most desperate hour. Without that movie, there might not have been a franchise to continue.

I could live without any of the movies or the shows. Had you asked me years ago I would have definitely said FC hands down. I remember I could not stop watching that thing on VHS. However, when I get ST XI for christmas, I have a feeling that I will watch the crap out of it, so XI is my vote.

Good choice!

Look, sonny, after you've watched all of 'em over fifty times each, get back to me.:guffaw: TWOK is stimulating & cool, but no way is it a no-live-without-er IMO.
BUT...

I may be wrong.

There is the Mutara nebula....

TWOK. Not only is it, IMHO, the greatest Trek film ever, but it is the film that cemented my status as a Trek fan. For that, it will always hold a special place for me.

It's also the Trek film that every other Trek film that wants to be something riffs off of – even the much-praised Trek XI.
