what about a transforming starfleet captain?

This was going to be answer too.

I mean, Hasbro put out a line of transforming Luke Skywalkers and Darth Vaders a while back. A transforming Kirk or Picard can only be a toy engineer's imagination away. Perhaps Picard's forehead would become the saucer section?

That's why I said Spike/Fort Max if I were going to be a Transformer. Headmasters and Targetmasters still have a human (or Nebulon) component. And Fortress Maximus has a starship mode.

Come to think of it, I think I'd want to be Spike/Fort Max in the Star Trek universe: imagine the look on the poor Klingon/Dominion/whatever's faces when the ship they're facing off transforms to robot mode and wallops the crap out of them with punches!

Transformer. They also have the ability to travel in space, so it'd be a twofer.
