What are you least favorite Star Trek novels?

"Engines of Destiny."

This was really stupid. I've deleted most of it from my brain. It was the first Trek book in a long while that I just regretted buying. It was like the author had seen "Generations" and "First Contact" and felt like it was great idea to smoosh 'em together.

Ugh.

No, she'll be at the head of the Q.

I still say that's like expecting Porthos to become president of the Federation. Just because Lady Q took pity on Janeway and preserved her consciousness somehow doesn't mean that Janeway actually became a Q.

Yeah, but... C'mon. It's Janeway. If anyone could manage to take over the Continuum by sheer force of personality alone, it's her! :bolian:

Or her force of personality gets on their nerves and they toss her back into the real world, forgetting she's still a Borg drone. So we get a year-long series of crossover books featuring Janeway as the Borg queen reestablishing the Borg, conquering half the galaxy, lots of fighting, and finally everything ends with Janeway rehumanized a la Picard and commanding the USS Voyager with all of her old crew back together again. Then Starfleet sends them on a mission to the Delta Quadrant with a defective slipstream drive that self-destructs as soon as they're all safely far enough away from the Federation. And then all the Janeway fans are happy that the old status quo is back.

The sound you just heard is the sound of my head exploding in frustration at the mere thought of the novels reviving the Borg post-Destiny.

^ I find it highly unlikely that this could ever happen.

If Janeway were to ever return, she would most likely be sent back by...the same character whom she is last seen with.

It was a joke. As "head" of the Q, she might not be a Q, but will definitely show them how to organise things in the Continuum better.
