Holy sh#t bananas, Wesley was in it!

He should voice a Klingon in the next film, or they can just put him in a Klingon guise, as long as no one recognizes him, he should be like an easter egg for Trekkies!

Woo...hoo... Will Wheaton... The the best JJ could could, the whiniest and most boring charater in trek history?
You seem to be confusing Wheaton with Wesley.
And remind me again which actor portrayed Wesley? I'm not confused. Characters ultimately are what the actors makes them to be. Good actors makes good charaters and whining pricks makes lousy whining Wesley Crushers.

From reading the article it sounds like he did more than the one line. I wonder if he only did Rommie voices...or if he did any others?

When Uhura orders her drinks in the bar the bartender says "Try the slusho mix" (or something like that)......and i have been wondering who did that voice. I actually thought it sounded like Pine doing it, although that would make no sense at all, having him do the bartender's voice. Maybe that one is Wil too?

That makes no sense. You're blaming Wheaton for what the writers gave him to say and do? I've seen some good actors in bad roles.

I for one like Will Wheaton. I think its cool he got to do something in the film. Especialy for such a fanboy. I think hes been real cool in The Guild. His character is such an ass in it I don't even think of Wesley. Well that my two cents. So :techman:to Will

Honestly....

Will Wheaton is way cool. He has no problem making fun of his Trek character. How great is that? Few people can pull that one off convincingly.

I have no problems with him, I may not have liked his character in seasons one and two of TNG, but that changed too especially during the later seasons.

Like I said, I don't mind him at all.... it was all a Big Bang Theory related joke.

He's actually pretty cool. :p

^ Yup.

Did anyone else notice that James Cawley was in it as well?

It's come up before.

Jame's Cawley's Cameo...
Anyone seen James Cawley of ST: Phase II in the movie?

...

I think I also saw Wil Wheaton in some scenes during the Kelvin attack.

That's not Wheaton, but it does look quite a bit like the actor whose picture appeared way back here with a lot of the early Kelvin info. His part may have changed from helmsman to some other crew assignment, as the name given does not appear in the credits

Everybody: This is Wil Wheaton's own blog post about doing voice-acting in the movie, posted on his blog:

Already mentioned here:
Wheaton blog post here.
He, infact, did all of the extra Romulan voices. They digitally altered some of the voices to sound like different people, but he did them all.
Yep. Good for him, I say.

^ I thought that guy was Wil too. Took a second viewing to realize it wasn't.
I found something else. They changed his name from helmsman Michael Johnson to Officer Pitts, played by Antonio Elias. He does kinda look like you'd expect a grown-up Wesley to look, but not quite so much like grown-up Wil.

Exactly! I only saw a picture of grown up Wil pretty recently, when someone here on the board gave me his blog link.

I'm dying to know who does the voice of the bartender...i would swear it was Pine...which makes no sense at all. I hope that voice has a credit.

When i first read this I thought it was going to be like, one line said by the computer or something. That's pretty crazy that he was the whole damn group of Romulans! ROFL!

Wil Wheaton is hilarious these days, a super-geek. I saw him at some show here doing a hilarious reading from his book, about him as a kid trading his Death star toy for a landspeeder. It was a lot funnier than i make it sound, haha.

^ Have you seen the video taken at the recent Con he was at? I think it was a gamer's con....theres a group that sings, "Wil Wheaton gets lucky sometimes" (or something to that effect) and it is just hilarious. And he is so adorable in it.
i LOVE reading his blog now and those reviews he did of TNG. He's alright by me. :techman:
