What's Your Favorite BEER?

T J

My friends, this thread is for beer drinkers. I know there are those of you out there that can't stand beer, it can be an acquired taste, I didn't like it at first but with age I've come to appreciate it very much.

So for those of you who are beer lovers what is your favorite beer? Lets not have a beer war, beer can be a very personal thing, everyone is different.

For my daily needs it's MGD.

Mmmmmmm... BEER! :drool::drool::drool:

A few of my staples:

Upper Canada Dark
Creemore Springs Lager
McAuslan Griffon Red
McAuslan St. Amboise Blonde
Sam Adams Boston Lager

I drink Beer like some people drink soda :)

Fat Tire
anything from Schlaflys. particulary like their coffee stout.
Ghost River Scottish Ale

Though I'm sure people haven't heard of the first two - being New Zealand beers and all - here is my list:

Tui
Mac's Gold
Tuborg
Grolsch

I mostly drink Grolsh or Kronenberg if I'm out, though if I'm counting the pennies I'll drink Tennants Ice Cold - which tastes less like sewage than regular Tennants.

There's an interesting concoction that I only know as Wankenstein (not it's real name, but if I ask for that, I get the right beer) in some back alley bar near my regular. It's good, but it's pricey.

Warsteiner?

I'm not picky, usually I just drink whatever the pub I'm in advertises as its "house beer" or so.
If I'm in a British-style pub, I usually drink Newcastle Brown Ale; I don't really like Guiness and similar kinds of beer.

It could be Warsteiner. I stumbled upon it while drunk and have never been sober enough to remember it's real name since.

I love NBA and I seem to be in the minority. I always seem to end up drinking it when I'm in Borth England but very few Scots seem to like it.

I don't really care for beer, but I have been known to enjoy the occasional Sam Adams.

I've been searching for a beer I like. So far no luck, it all seems like bitter piss water. A friend of mine told me I need to start trying the darker stuff.

There's a microbrewery in Davis called Sudwerk. They make a Marzen that is perfect.

The North Coast Brewing Company up in Mendecino makes some good stuff too, like Red Seal and Old Rasputin.

Fat Tire, Sierra Nevada are both pretty good...

Most mass-produced American beers are watered down piss. But at the microbrewery level, the United States makes some great beer.

Guinness first and foremost.

London Pride is very good, too. Sometimes I get a Du Demon, but not too often (the flavoring is unusual).

However, I also like light beers, like Corona or Heineken.

Guinness
Blue Moon (combine the two for a tasty Black & Blue)
Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout
Pyramid Apricot Ale
Stone Ruination IPA or just about anything from Stone Brewing
Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde
From Great Lakes Brewing I like Burning River Ale, Holy Moses White Ale, and Commodore Perry IPA
Corona (but only with lime)
Goose Island IPA and their Harvest Ale
Smithwicks

There's lots more but those are what immediately comes to mind.

Here's just a sample of beers that I enjoy:

Guinness
Smithwick's
Wexford Cream Ale
Boddington's
Tetley's
Four Peaks Kiltlifter (Tempe, AZ craft brew)
Warsteiner Oktoberfest
Blue Moon
Young's Double Chocolate Stout
Young's Oatmeal Stout

Sweetheart Stout
Riggwelter
Caffreys
Tennent's Velvet
Tennent's 80 Shilling
Bishop's Finger
Spitfire
Hobgoblin

Lager-wise, anything (Carling, Carlsberg, Fosters etc) that *isn't* Miller, which is piss-water

I have not sampled a great number of beers, but so far my favorites are:

Cerveza Pacifico
Chimay Blue

I recently had Blue Moon for first time. Love that shit.

Sam Adams Boston Lager and Imperial Stout are pretty good too.
