Got another one of these tanks:

and preordered this:

Microwaveable mini chocolate soufflés. :techman: Also, Anni B Sweet's cover of 'Take On Me' from iTunes.

I got my own copy of the Book of Common Prayer, and a Bible. Followed up that with buying Heretics of Dune and Chapterhouse Dune for half price. Also picked up some nice church clothes and filled my sinus medicine prescription.

All in all, it was an awesome day. Halloween party tonight.

I bought a shower!

I wanted a cheapo one, but ended up buying one that was 3 times as expensive. Heh.

More RAM for the laptop.
Aveda hair pomade
Couple of Nike belly-tops
TGI Friday lunch (best cheeseburgers ever)
Batteries for the mouse

I guess the charm would wear off after a while...

I wonder if the British branches are significantly different than those in the states?

No idea. A lot of differences depend on whether it's a corporate store or a franchise. Mine was a franchise, and after a year they changed to a cheaper meat supplier, and the burgers started tasting like rubber. Before that I LOVED the burgers.

Been raiding the discount DVD bin at Big Lots this week:

-- Moonraker ($5)
-- Kaena: The Prophecy ($2)
-- Dune (1984 version, $5)

The various home and office supplies.

I've been mildly obsessed with beautiful books lately, and I had a couple 40% off coupons for Borders, so I went looking for these:

Covers designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith, they were first released in the UK, but they're starting to show up in the states now, and I found Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and Cranford on the shelves. Can't afford them all at once, so I started with Jane Eyre. (Okay, between years of Firefly fandom and the fact that "Eyre" has a weird "y" in it, I cannot seem to type "Jane" without the "y" in the middle!)

I also picked up this lovely copy of Little Women. It matches a copy of Little Men that I was given by a great aunt as a child.

So, I got another coupon today, this time for 30% off. When I was looking for the lovelies up there over the weekend, I noticed another series of little classics that were also quite pretty and a little less expensive than the set Jane Eyre came from, so I used the coupon on Swiss Family Robinson. (Sorry, I know the picture is tiny - it was the ONLY one I could find online, and I'm too lazy to go find my camera and take my own. ;))

I'm actually excited to have something to use my Borders Rewards coupons on. I have the feeling the Bickford-Smith covers are going to be a pill to track down. I did see The Picture of Dorian Gray there today, but that's only 4 out of about 20 in the set.

Last night I bought a bumper puzzle book. Don't know why, but it will come in useful for a rainy day. Plus it came with that rarest of commodities, a free pen! :bolian:
