Which Trek character would you like seeing star in a TV comedy show?

BDuncan

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Which single Star Trek film, or Trek TV series character/s
(that you either greatly admire, or even detest), in your view
deserves their own (network or cable) TV sitcom spin-off show
and please say why, for any single character named ?

If 2 Trek characters (being together) are named, that's fine.

Robert Picardo, John Billingsley and Connor Trinneer on a spin off of Desperate Housewives. A story about men going through mid-life crisis. Picardo as a management type. His brother Billingsley as an ageing hippy that is somehow doing better in business than his Harvard educated brother. Trinneer as an ex-baseball player trying too hard to remain a jock.

I don't even have to think about it ...

More like M.D., Ph.D., A.P.A., considering this is an allusion to one of the best spin-offs of all time – Frasier. ;)

McCoy and Spock in a series not unlike the old Hope/Crosby comedies.

This would totally work too.

I look forward to seeing it on air soon!

Worf, Ambassador at large. An office-like series about the Federation consulate on Qo'nos and Worf being genteel and diplomatic by punching people around and challenging them to battles of honour!

Must also feature Quark. Somehow.

I don't even have to think about it ...

I still love that picture. So Elim Garak lives with his disabled ex-spy father Enabran Tain, while his dapper brother Niles Garak has a thing for the Bajoran physical therapist?

Ha, I wondered if you would still remember it. I guess you and PKTrekGirl might be the only ones left who still do.

Yeah, that's how I envision it as well. It would also figure nicely into the fact that we know Enabran Tain died on Deep Space Nine, since on Cheers Frasier told everyone that his father was dead, too. Yet he was alive in Frasier.

Man, I really miss Frasier. :(

Trip and Reed in "The Odd Couple".

I was kinda hoping the writers would do something like that on ENT, but.....

Jean-Luc Picard and Beverly Crusher get married, run his father's winery and turn parts of the estate into a Starfleet-themed bed & breakfast, like the old Newhart show!

Or Sulu and Chekov as deep undercover agents pretending to be drug-running pirates, like Miami Vice in space.

Red Rum!

I'm still holding out hope for a Brent Spiner Night Court spinoff.

SFRabid you quote is so awesome. Anyway this question reminds me of the Q and Spock comedy series they did in Las Vegas, so funny.

I would say that I would want to see Data in a comedy show, his wit and banter, the fact he wouldnt be able to laugh, and as an actor he would probably laugh and that would make it funnier, i have a great imagination, im already laughing.

Worf travels back in time on some mission, gets stuck in the early 21st century, for some reason has a human wife and kids, and...well that's it really. Doesn't get on with the neighbours maybe. Gets a job in an office. Heck, I might write this now...
