TRW: "Beneath The Raptor's Wing" review up @ Trekmovie.com

:D I won't post anymore spoilers Middleman unless others have read the book and want to discuss it hear in this thread.;)

All I will say is that I read it, I liked it A LOT and can't wait for the next one. I think it fits in nicely with the continuity that so many of us devoted Enterprise fans would want to see.

I finally got my copy this morning. I can't wait to to read it. I glanced at some chapters. It looks like a great deal of action is going on in this book.Continuing storylines where the last book leaves off.

I can't wait to read this book, but I may end up waiting a bit til it's on clearance or something. I checked Borders.com today, and for paperback ,the book is $16.99...when I bought STE:Kobayashi Maru (the week it came out), it was $7.99 at Borders. I wonder what's up with this?

The new Enterprise novel is really good. The reason it costs more it's a tradepaperback a larger format to use to tell a longer story. It used be the hardback books format. Now the book companies go with the larger Trade pb format because they sale better. Anyway that's what one of theStartrek book editors in Treklit said awhile back.

I keep reading how good it is. Frankly that's just not making the wait any easier guys.

Pocket Books must have started shipping copies across the Atlantic by now. Hopefully the boat isn't going by way of the Bermuda Triangle...

When it finally gets here, what's the advice for reading this? Pace yourself with several chapters a night? Or lock myself away at the weekend for several days at a time?

I remember when The Good That Men Do came out. I took it with me on holiday and read it over about a day and a half... it was a very long journey there and back, which helped.

Slow and easy may be the best way to read this books chapters there's alot of important details and clues you can miss if you read it too quickly.I've had to go back and read things I missed earlier when it comes to complex Character storyplots and arcs this book is full of them.;)

Should I read any ENT book before this one?
The Good That Men Do and Kobayashi Maru.

I don't know if Last Full Measure should also be recommended, since I haven't read that one.

IMO, Last Full Measure was an extremely well written book. I actually enjoyed it more than The Good That Men Do and Kobayashi Maru. I enjoyed TGTMD and KM because they corrected the wrongs of TATV.

Thanks for the reply. I'll probably just start at the beginning and work my way forward. I just finished the Destiny series and want to start something new.
