Maybe we'll see them in the director's cut?

What we saw on the big screen is the director's cut from what I've heard Abrams say.
He has no plans to re-edit & integrate any deleted scenes into the movie.
SALVOR, you rock!
O M G ! MINI KLINGONS!!!! I never knew they did that in films!!!! ...
<snip>
The EVA walk across the planet surface in ALIEN was done with kids in pressure suits to make the set look larger. IIRC some of the Space Jockey shots also, but I'm not positive.
..and yeah, Salvor does rock. Thanks for pointing those out!
That is really amazing stuff....and i never would have guessed the Kirk scene was a kid. Unreal!

So "Johnny" is his brother? Hes older though...his birth was unaffected by Nero altering history, so shouldn't he STILL be George Samuel Kirk, Jr.? "Sam"?
Oh well. I guess there's an explanation.
I remeber some speculation, back when some of the earliest cast lists appeared, about why someone credited as "Klingon guard" would have an IMDb entry showing them to be six years old, or whatever it was. Here's the answer to that.O M G ! MINI KLINGONS!!!! I never knew they did that in films!!!!
For a moment, I thought it might be one of those supposed arcology structures which appeared in the background of a lot of the "Iowa" shots, but another look says it's probably supposed to be some kind of farm building like a hay barn.Any idea what the building behind the Kirk brothers is supposed to be?

Roddenberry and Wise used kids in engineering suits in ST:TMP, to make the Enterprise forced perspective sets give the illusion of a much bigger space. The tiny suits were sold off as part of the "It's a Wrap!" eBay auctions. They were very cute.

These boys, about 6 or 7 at the time of filming, appeared on the TrekMovie cast list and in IMDB credits for the movie.
John Bartlebaugh - Klingon guard
Cole Fritch - Klingon prison guard
Another Klingon guard or two and a Klingon prisoner (the little Nero?) were also on the list, but a quick search isn't turning up their names. These have all since been removed from cast lists, most likely because their scenes were cut.
One other child on the current IMDb cast list for the movie:
Joshua Greene ... Child Running in Snow (uncredited)
