This pretty cool, got a little misty-eyed watching it

Ha! I ended up a little misty-eyed myself! :cardie:

I think it's a combination of the music, and the beauty of the Cardassian architecture, myself.

I don't see the point.

The point to me is that he tried to emulate with a computer program version, the same camera angles that the real DS9 credits use.

I can see how that would take some doing and lots of love for DS9 to accomplish.

He did a good job IMO. :techman:

Nav where been man?
I agree the guy who did this w/a computer in his home rocks

Its impressive for someone working on it at home :)

I found the credit sequence for DS9 quite emotional - especially when you first see the space station so small against that infinite backdrop.

*Sigh* I wish prolonged space exploration of the type in Star Trek was possible now. I would definitely sign up!

Hey, every time they mention water on the moon, and the Russian plan to have a permanent Lunar base by 2025 I'm thinking "Where do I sign up?"

As for the vid, it looks good and he's done well, but there was one major problem - the station pitches during the first close up and it made me feel sick!

The point is a fan had fun making something he likes.

I liked it. I enjoyed the use of the opening theme from seasons 1-3. I liked the jazzed up version shown in 4-7, but the slower version has always been my favorite of the two. Just seemed to fit the show better.

While the visuals on the end of that one were not the best chosen, I DID like the music quite a bit...kinda reminds me of the Top Gun theme. :) Almost could've been the Star Trek: Sigils and Unions theme (though I would've made it harder and/or been a bit more BsG-like to give it the foreignness it needs).
