How is stargate getting relatively high-profile (for syfy) movie actors?

Pretty sure that's the woman Scott was getting with in Air Part I.

In typical fashion TPTB would give him a love scene in a heartbeat before they give one to Greer. I'll bet the house on that one.

Well, the whole point of the character of Eli is nerd wish fulfillment. So I wouldn't be surprised if the audience was given more of that. I mean, the guy lives with his mom and plays video games. But don't worry, he lives with his mom because he's a nice guy who was caring for her while she was sick. And the video games got him recruited into the Stargate program!

I think it might work out because that part of the pilot still needs to be explained.

Actually, here's a question:

If a Goa'uld or Tok'ra tried to use an Ancient stone, would the host's or symbiote's consciousness (or both) get transferred?

Indeed, if the person on the other end was a being with just the one mind (human, Wraith, etc) would their mind go into the host, the symbiote, or get horribly mixed up into both?

She was in some movie where England walled off Scotland because of some pandemic. She was like a Lara Croft with a brain. Believable wearing body armor.

Not like that soldier on SGU with the huge rack. Nice to look at but I am not buying her as a soldier.
