5 oceans - which have you seen?

Miss Chicken

The five oceans are

The Pacific Ocean
The Alantic Ocean
The Indian Ocean
The Southern Ocean
The Arctic Ocean

Myself, I have only seen the Pacific and the Indian Oceans.

the atlantic's the only one I've seen in real life. oh and the north sea but I dont think that counts

^Ah, I could make that claim as well. Though I've only seen the Atlantic from the East in transit. I've spent my entire life living on one coast or the other -- so the Pacific and Atlantic are old friends. I'd like to see more.

I've mostly seen the Atlantic, from the East Side, although I have seen the bit where the Atlantic meets the Southern, on a trip to Cape Town (the only time I've been outside Europe), but I suppose that depends on your definition of the Southern Ocean.

I believe that the Southern Ocean is defined at being below 60 degrees south si that would exclude what you saw in Cape Town.

I've only seen the Atlantic and only the French coasts. South Bretagne is one of my favorite part of France :)

Only the Atlantic, wait I might have seen the Arctic ocean too flying over Greenland on the way to America.

I see I've inspired another thread. ;)

Yes, you did and I realise that I should have link to that thread myself and given you credit like I normally do. I posted in a hurry because I had dinner cooking on the stove.
No problem. :)

If we're talking seas, however, I have seen the North Sea, Irish Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea (from the air) and the Tasman Sea. :bolian:
Have you not been to the seaside in the south west of England?

I've seen the Humber estuary. From BOTH sides. Does that count?

In case you're wondering, most of Cleethorpes pier was purposely destroyed during WW2 to prevent the Germans from making a stop off there and raiding the candy-floss shops.

Come to think of it, I haven't. Been to most other seasides except that part of the world.

The Atlantic from the both sides, and the Pacific. It's possible I've seen the Arctic Ocean on one of these transatlantic flights when I looked out the window at the great blue expanse. There was the map with the tracking feature but they usually turn it off during most of the trip to show the movie or something.

I have, once or twice, I guess Blackpool is the Irish sea and not the Atlantic Ocean, I've seen the North sea plenty, and yes, I've seen the Humber from both sides...

The Irish Sea and the North Sea are part of the Atlantic Ocean just as the Tasman Sea is part of the Pacific Ocean.
