Halloween usernames - get in quick!

Van anyone tell me why I can't use the avatars that trekkiedane made for me. They are 140 x 140 pixels but when I try to edit my avatar nothing happens.

 

You do know that you have to upload them from your own computer to the TBBS? right?

ETA: The biggest one is 63 Kb -so that isn't the problem!

Oh I love everyone's names and avs. Only a select population of the BBS would have a chance at understanding my av (and sig) and I'm posting in the wrong forum for that.

 

You could say it's blink-and-you-miss-it.

 

Nah, I think that guy is pretty popular around here! (not the guy in the AV -scariest ep ever!- but the place it comes from...

 

Don't worry people, I have managed it. I restarted my computer and it worked straight away. I need a new computer or else I need to work out what is actually wrong with the pile of junk I have.

I sometimes have trouble uploading photos to Flickr as well.

That's the old name of Halloween translated in Italian: "(all) hallows' even(ing)" = "vigilia (di) ognissanti" (pronounced something like "vee-jee-lee-ah (dee) oh-ñi-san-tee").

Actually, nobody really call it like that in Italy, since the celebration was copied from the US: everybody just call it "halloween". But I liked the sound.

Just a curiosity, why do you assume the iguana is female? I ask because I have no idea how to distinguish the gender of an iguana...

I have no idea but as there was just as much chance of it being female I decided on the feminine pronoun.
