Chuck status? Dead or alive?

Yes..Heroes will run for about 17 weeks and end their season, then Chuck is scheduled to replace it in the same Monday timeslot with roughly 17 eps as well. Most likely returns after the Winter Olympics...if they don't yank Jay Leno off first.

^
And expect both to be canned after there runs...NBC is in the crap house. I cannot fathom NBC's handling of chuck

I thought Chuck was only going back for 13 episodes?

Also Chuck should have come back in the fall and Heroes in the spring because HEROES is DOA, and at least Chuck is cheaper to make.

I heard next year The Jay Leno Show will be on for 3 hours a night.

The NBC weekday schedule for the 2010-11 Season will be:

7am-11am - Today Show featuring Jay Leno
11am-6pm - space for local news, Oprah, and Best of Leno
6pm-6:30pm - NBC Nightly News w/Commentary by Jay Leno
6:30pm-11pm - Jay Leno
11pm-1130pm - local late news featuring Leno reading funny headlines
11:30pm-12:30am - Tonight Show
12:30am-1:30am - Late Night
1:30am -7am - Jay Leno Highlights

I read a rumor that CBS was looking at picking up chuck if it gets canceled by NBC, to add to it's monday night lineup as a counterpart to Big Bang Theory.

Don't see that especially with TBBT with Two & Half Men now and Chucks ratings seem too much of an issue even if it would get a bump being on CBS. I would like to see the hit internet web series "We Need Girlfriends" which was brought by CBS and is being developed for 2010 to get in the monday time slot on CBS...

Failing that they could just give RoE a full 22 pickup for once.

As for NBC and Chuck there both in trouble.

Youch! Chuck will never get CBS-level ratings. Leave it in low expectations land where it might have a shot at another season.

Apparently, NBC stands for "Now Behind CW." :p

Where do you live that the Nightly News is on at 6:00? 6:30 here, also need room for Wheel of Fortune! :)

I have been calling NBC "Nothing But Crap" for years now. :p

I think that's half true. CBS effectively controls the CW.

Huh. I didn't think about that. You think that CBS might make a play for Chuck for the CW lineup, isn't it not in the "target demo" that that chick who runs it is aiming for.

Yes, Chuck is coming back for at least 13 episodes. It is slotted to come in after the Olympics airs on NBC. Heroes is slated to run for 20 episodes, then the Olympics and then Chuck takes back his 8pm Monday slot. However, they are already filming their 13 episodes now to be a contingency replacement should Jay Leno or one of the new medical shows fail. Should that happen, I would look for Heroes to go back to it's original 9pm Monday slot and Chuck to take the 8pm.

To keep up on Chuck-happenings check out their website the show makers do themselves at www.chuckmeout.com and there are viewable episodes as well if you click on the link in my sig.

The Seattle area. Our NBC affiliate gives us local "news" from 5-6pm, we get Brian williams at 6, followed by more local "news" from 6:30 to 7pm. The actual amount of local news could actually be covered in a half hour most days.

Wheel and Jeopardy are on the ABC affiliate 'round here.

I'm delighted with Mercy, Trauma and Heroes.

These three alone almost seal Chuck's survival for a further season.
