Christmas Plans 2009...

Christmas Yay or Nay?

Hopefully working as many shifts as I can on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I don't like Christmas anymore.

I'm sorry you don't like Christmas, but thank you to you too for working the Christmas shifts. It's always reassuring to me to know that even though everything else pretty much closes down for the holidays, the emergency services are still there :techman:

I like Halloween quite a bit more than Christmas, so definitely looking forward to next month. Christmas will probably be spent with my family since I'm still in California for the moment. I may not be next year, so this may be my last Christmas at home for the foreseeable future... and my parents have basically started to realize that, I think. Which should make it very interesting, to be sure. I also plan to do my usual exchange of presents with the girl I like, and after having spent two weeks together I have some very cool ideas for presents.

Also it's way too early to be discussing Christmas. I really don't want it to be December yet. I like not being frozen.

I'm really not a Christmas person at all, but I make the effort for my boys. Mainly because it always ends up costing me a fraking fortune! Hopefully I won't be flu like this year at that time too.

I was thinking of a big Christmas dinner and inviting all my friends, this year. I would invite all the people I know who don't have families locally.

After talking with the wife last night looks like I get to spend my Christmas with the in-laws...:klingon: I love 5 hour drives both ways and spending my time with lieing, feckless hicks! Just shoot me now.:wah:

I celebrate Christmas every year with my family. WHERE we celebrate has always been a point of contention since I'm in Minneapolis, my parents are in Kansas City and my sister is down in Birmingham, AL. I favor taking turns among the three places but my sister is playing the "small children" card to try to get everyone to her house EVERY year. However, my parents are getting older so traveling is becoming harder for them and now that I own a house I'd like a turn now and then.

Anyway, since last year we were down in Birmingham my parents and I decided to do Kansas City this year and my sister and her family will likely stay home. It's a bummer but perhaps next year we'll do a better job getting it together.

Just tell her "small children" are very portable ;). Would make it so much easier if everyone took a turn each year though. I mean personally I hate having to cook a big dinner, actually tempted to book somewhere for christmas dinner :p

^^^^^
I could get on board with that option -- except I never liked the tree, it always makes such a goddamn mess. :p

I love Christmas.
It is, without a doubt, my favorite time of the year.

I'm hoping for a good one this year, and I don't mean presents, food or alcohol.

J.

I love your Christmas bunny!

Despite not being Christian I do love Christmas but it's still a little early yet for me to be making plans.
