If the original universe is now referred to as the "Prime" universe, should we not refer to the new one as the "Sub-Prime" universe?
^ And of course Captain Richard Robau III.![]()
No way, I don't want to see any TV show set in the abramsverse.
If the original universe is now referred to as the "Prime" universe, should we not refer to the new one as the "Sub-Prime" universe?
How about the "Not-Ready-For-Prime" Universe?
I think it would be a bad idea to establish two or more separate generational focal points in any new Trek. That's how the continuity got impossible.
I can buy the new TOS crew; decent acting and good faith can make me believe that I am seeing Shatner, Nemoy, and the Gang; but the fact remains that when it comes to a long-term series, different actors are different actors no matter what. I personally would like us to move away from the tradition of employing actor impersonators (even if they are good ones) before it becomes a steady habit.
A new crew aboard the Enterprise E in the conventional universe would peek my interest more than a continuation of the XI storyline. Additionally, the 1701-B and C remain very poorly covered in canon; why not jump at the opportunity to tell their stories in more depth?
In any case, I will support the producers as they forge onward with upcoming releases.
