Tell me about Prosaic!

Jayson, Why did they switch you off the Luvox so quickly? Were you not responding to it or did you have a lot of side effects from it? Usually Luvox is considered the best first medication to take for OCD.

I myself have been on all the SSRI"s and I have had quite a few problems with sexual side effects mostly decreased libido and a little problem maintaining an erection. I don't mean to put anxiety in your mind but this maybe a problem if you are looking to do something soon about ending your virginity. Right now I take Celexa at 30 milligrams which is a good middle dosage for me that keeps the side effects at a minimum. You and your doctor might need to play around with the dosage. If you really think you might need to perform sexually you should ask your doctor for Viagra.

It wasn't working for me. I was still seeing JAycee Dugard and even becoming her and I started having the sucidal thoughts. I mean I was taking the stuff, when I got so bad I went into the mental hospital.

Prozac didn't do a whole lot for me.

Serzone, Trazodone, and Wellbutrin did absolutely nothing. It was as if I weren't taking anything at all.

Paxil worked extremely well for 10 years, but I decided to stop using it when I realised it was causing major memory problems for me. (It was so bad that I thought I was going through early Alzheimer's. Really!) And getting off of Paxil was a horrific experience! I felt like a junkie trying to wean off of an illegal drug.

I was on Cymbalta for about three years, and it worked about as well as Prozac. When my insurance changed and it was going going to cost me $300 a month, I switched to Lexapro. Unfortunately, Lexapro does cause those negative sexual side effects for me.

I don't know what to do now. I wish there were a way for me to survive without having to take these meds. But I can't. I've seen what I become without them , and it ain't pretty. :(

Good luck to you, Jayson. I hope things work out with your meds.
