I need help on deciding on a leather jacket

My old jacket is too big for me so I need to get a new one but I can't decide which kind. I don't know if I should get the hip length one like this or a waist length one like this.

I'm leaning towards the hip length one but at the same time I'm worried it looks a little creepyish. Thoughts?

P.S.- Can't wait to see what Holdfast says.

Defenitely go with the hip length. I have one and every time I wear it just makes me feel mature and important. Actually that sounds a little delusional, but trust me the feel of a long leather coat is great.
