Unworthy

Threads can sometimes be hijacked when it's a question that can be answered with a quick Google search.

Just, y'know, saying.

I, y'know, understand. I'm just a polite kinda guy, sometimes to a fault. I'm more into acknowledging easily answered questions rather than mocking/ignoring them, especially when the original poster is not responding light-heartedly to the mockery/ignorage {TM pending}, and I sometimes take umbrage when the potentially belittling responses comes from folks who can sometimes be perceived to have extra power in a particular forum (such as writers in a TrekLit forum).

Doesn't give you a right to attack the person even if you have a dislike to them.

It's called common courtesy.

MoS, I'd think you'd have been here long enough to be used to this stuff by now. I'm not defending them, it's just that this isn't exactly the first time this has happened. Hell it's even happened to me a few times.

Okay, back on topic:
Have we seen the last of the Calier? (sic)
I don't know; Unworthy hasn't been released yet.

I was thinking that maybe we should revisit them and see the aftermath of the Borg transformations and how it's working out.
Okay. Your thoughts are noted.

(It's also noted that you only restate the reason established at the end of Full Circle for Voyager's new mission, adding absolutely no new or original thoughts whatsoever.)

Well... I think this topic has run its course now.

does anyone know if amazon will offer a "sneak peek" of unworthy like they for full circle?

This thread has been LEISNERED

Me again. I just wanted to apologize for my crankiness in this thread yesterday. Bit of a bad day, and it resulted in me being extra-prickly and acting a bit daft. Probably not a great first impression to make. I was going to just PM Terri to apologize, but haven't been around long enough to send PMs. (I accidentally typed "to send PMS" at first, which I actually kind of did manage to do yesterday.) :)

On topic - hmmm. Not much to add. I will say that what I'm most looking forward to in Unworthy is seeing more of Eden as Voyager's new captain. I also hope we'll get to see Voyager encountering some of the DQ species they ran into during the show's run (either folks who are peeved at them due to previous conflicts or people they've helped who might remain allies for them in the DQ). Although that should be done sparingly, I suppose, as there would be even more planets and species that Voyager never made contact with during their trip home.

Casey, don't worry about it. No harm, no foul. I'm just a poster here. Haven't been one of the TrekLit writers for a few years, and have no intention of being one again anytime soon. Well, unless I can convince JJ to let me do the Dax/McCoy bodice-ripper, but that's not likely to happen. :)

Please point out where I attacked you, Marc. I'd like to know. Because usually when I attack people, there's no doubt in anyone's mind. Unless you're somehow interpreting my responding to Paul's and Allyn's comments as attacking you? Hmm. Fascinating. :vulcan:

Bill, contributing anything new to the idea would be a Bad Thing, remember? Although I agree with Casey's notion that repercussions of their initial trip would be good to see.

Thanks, Terri. I'd love to see more Trek work from you at some point, though. Q'uandary and Three Sides to Every Story were among my favorite stories in their respective anthologies. And as long I can picture the Karl Urban McCoy as the protagonist (no offense intended to the late Mr. Kelley), I'm all for a McCoy bodice-ripper. :)

^As long as it doesn't end up in bed. Those two seemed odd as a couple...
No kidding. I will not be happy if they resurrect that ridiculous development.

I'm not wild about Chakotay and Seven as a romantic couple, but I am looking forward to seeing how their relationship progresses. I've never been a Chakotay fan, but Full Circle actually had me interested in his character development post-Janeway.

Terri,

I apologize. I misinterpreted what was being said and took something personal from me in real world and turned it into something it wasn;t.. I was just upset that I started a thread an you guys decided to make it your own personal get together and I am sorry.

It was a ridiculous development on TV. But everything has changed for those two characters. Like I said in my review of Full Circle, "it's probably just my shipper tendencies, but I could see this leading to a post-J/C pairing of C/7 that actually makes a degree of sense for these characters in their new lives. Not that Beyer is necessarily going there, but it could work better here than it did in Voyager's seventh season."
