Never-was web cartoon: Star Trek: Final Frontier

The scripts read really well. A novelization would be great. :techman:

One question though: The implants worn by the security team...derived from Borg hardware. So how do the people wearing them keep from being assimilated?

Hmmm, good point. Future story point, perhaps.

I guess it's not a problem now that the Destiny trilogy has happened. ;)
there are no more Borg, no more collective, therefore no more assimilation

^ Destiny isn't canon though, well unless you do it as a novel then it might. Then again Trek Online is going with its own timeline.

Feh, canon shmanon, just tell a good story with interesting characters and a solid plot and not worry about things like "does it work with canon".

I haven't read Destiny. We just assumed that by this point the Borg threat had been dealt with in the time between Nemesis and our series, and the implants were 99% harmless. That one percent may have ended up as a future story, but we haven't really discussed it.

Can you spoil Destiny for me and let me know what happened to the collective?

Something like this:

A race called the Caeliar absorbed the entire Collective back into itself. All Borg technology, everywhere in the universe, crumbled into dust and vanished. Ex- drones were restored to their former selves, and most joined the Caeliar (except for Seven of Nine).

Well, that sounds semi-ridiculous. Without getting into a needless discussion on canon, the BUGs are based on Borg tech, not actually constructed from it. So either way they should be fine.

Bad form to have three posts in a row, but the fifth and final part of Final Frontier is now up. We'll be posting storyboards and some other goodies in a little bit, so stay tuned, and let us know what you think of the pilot.
