Xena fans, I've got sad news...

Gabrielle is looking even more cute and super-dykish than she did before. A movie would be a hit.

It's been off the air for eight years, was there still really hope within the Xena fan-base that there might be a movie?

Star Trek had been off the air for over eight years when its first movie went into production (unless you count the animated series).

According to the Maya Calender the world ends in 2012 so the reboot may not get done!:)

No, according to the Mayan Calendar, the current Long Count cycle ends in 2012 and the next Long Count cycle begins. It's no more apocalyptic than New Year's Day. The idea that the Mayan Calendar predicts the end of the world is a complete and utter fraud. Some guy invented it in the 1960s to sell books.

Eh, I never really expected one.

While Lucy certainly can't be faulted for continued dedication to her fans, I always got the impression that her hemming and hawing about the possibility of a movie was just that, not wanting to disappoint the fans.

Seems like she moved on a while ago, acting wise, and however much I miss her Xena days, isn't going back. :(

I wouldn't mind somebody throwing Renee a bone, though. She's hotter than ever, and I miss her acting too.

Yeah. There was a whole decade between TOS and TMP. And a decade between Red Dwarf VIII and the recent episodes.

It's a shame, but it looks like that film will never happen.

I am doubting we'll ever see Joss Whedon's Buffyverse characters again on screen, either.
