Jim Henson's sudden death in 1990 really upset me...especially because it could have been prevented.
I was pretty upset when Rebecca Schaeffer was murdered (20 years ago last month)- I wasn't a big fan of hers, but the way it happened, how easily that crazy stalker got her address and a gun, was horrible.
I remember being pretty upset about John Lennon's murder, too. I was a little kid at the time. I really didn't understand! I understood death, but not murder.

I've been saddened by a number of celebrity deaths, including those of Fred Rogers, Jim Henson, and Tim Russert. But there's only two that ever made me truly upset: Gene Roddenberry, and Jim O'Brien.
