Pretty dark topic, but it's something I don't think I have every heard anyone ever talk about before. Which to me, makes it a great topic. Anytime you can find a topic that comes close to being orginal it works for me.

Anyways the idea was inspired partly by how I would kill myself, if I ever did it. i would go off to some secluded place and take sleeping pills in my truck and go to sleep listening to music. Then it occured to me, I don't think I ever really thought about what song I would pick.

Also it's okay if you don't think you would every kill yourself or anythingl ike that. The idea is to find the song that just isn't sad but sort of reflects your soul as well.

Anyways the few songs I can think of would be

Everyone hurts=REM

Beatles=MY LIFe

Kansas=Dust in the Wind

I don't think I'd actually want music at the moment, but I've always considered the theme from M*A*S*H to be one of the most interesting and honest treatments of the subject.

HOLY CRAP - spice it up a little :wtf:

Klingon Imperial Theme, baby, ALL THE WAY and VERY, VERY LOUD!!! :klingon::p:klingon:

Either Vivaldi's Four Seasons Winter movement, or Everything You Know Is Wrong by Weird Al Yankovic.

I'll have to go with Metallica's Fade To Black.

Metallica's Fade To Black said:
Life it seems will fade away
Drifting further every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters, no one else

I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free

Things not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly lost, this can't be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel

Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn
I was me but now he's gone

No one but me can save myself
But it's too late
Now I can't think
Think why I should even try

Yesterday seems as though
It never existed
Death greets me warm
Now I will just say goodbye

Blasting Dethklok while I work my way through a police station in full body armor with a combat shotgun and my SKS, if i'm gonna kill myself, I'm gonna do it flashy, JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM???!!!!

I'm too strong-willed to ever consider suicide, never mind a suicide song.

I probably wouldn't, but either Suicide is painless (MASH) or Hell by the Squirrel Nut Zippers:-

"In the afterlife
You could be headed for the serious strife
Now you make the scene all day
But tomorrow therell be hell to pay

People listen attentively
I mean about future calamity
I used to think the idea was obsolete
Until I heard the old man stamping his feet.

This is a place where eternally
Fire is applied to the body
Teeth are extruded and bones are ground
Then baked into cakes which are passed around.

Beauty, talent, fame, money, refinement
Top skill and brain
But all the things you try to hide
Will be revealed on the other side.

Now the d and the a and the m
And the n and the a
And the t and the i-o-n
Lose your face, lose your name
Then get fitted for a suit of flame"

:p

I'd acquire a whole load of different opioids, barbs and some alcohol, wait until a day where all of my family are at work until late, wait for them to leave in the morning then go upto my room, take all of the pills in one go and gulp down the alcohol while listening to Willie the Pimp by Frank Zappa :)

I'm too strong-willed to ever consider suicide, never mind a suicide song.

So if your in your car and surrounded by zombie's who like to keep people alive for days and days as they slowly eat them and then they have the ability to send your soul to hell, once they are finsihed, you wouldn't think about saving yourself from that horror if you had a gun with one bullet and even though the car, doesn't work anymore your cd player still does and you just happen to have all the songs in the world in the car with you, to choose from, you still wouldn't consider suicide and a song to go along with it?

Jason

If there's zombies involved, it got to be "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen.

Otherwise, "Too Depressed to Commit Suicide" by The PeeCees (aka the Hee Bee Gee Bees).

There was only two times I've ever been anywhere close to suicide in my life (1986 and 1996).
  • In 1986 it was "How Soon Is Now?" by The Smiths.
  • In 1996 it was "Your House" by Alanis Morissette (along with 2002's "Hands Clean" are the two most painful songs for me to listen to... by any artist).
