So, this collection is on sale with the first 12 C&C games. $20. I want to know if this is a good deal. I already have:

* C&C (original)
* Red Alert
* Red Alert 2
* Tiberian Sun

Are the other 8 games in the package worth the $20? Are any of them really bad? Really good? Sway me!!! :)

Yes, its worth it :p The Red Alert expansion packs were really great in their day and the Tiberium Sun and Red Alert 2 expansion adds alot to the game as well. Generals was really fun as well though I have a hard time considering it a Command and Conquer game. C and C Renegade was an ......interesting experiment.

Personally, I owned all the C and C games and yet when they came out with this pack in 06 I ran to the store to get it, just so I could have every game on one neat disc

I love the pack, if only to have a fully functioning on XP version of the original.

I think $20 for Command and Conquer: The First Decade is well worth it. I've enjoyed each C&C game for a long time after release. I sold my original copy of the first Red Alert years ago, and when this came out I knew I had to get it. Hell, I bought it for £30 (around $55) as at the time as it had only just come out.

There were some problems I had with some of the games as I am running Windows Vista, and after two patches some time ago, EA appear to have stopped supporting it with official patches. However, they are giving support to an "unofficial" fan-made 1.03 patch which has solved all the problems I had. I would recommend everyone who has The First Decade to install it; it even adds some cool new features like 1024x768 support for the original C&C, restoring online play and even adding expansion missions from the console versions of that game. You can get it from http://www.commandandpatch.com/ . You don't even need to bother to install the offical EA patches first, as it already includes them.

Sweet! Thanks, RaggedGlory! I think I'll pick up that pack. I'm running XP so I shouldn't have too much trouble.

Yeah, it's a fairly jank compilation unfortunately. I still wish they took the time to just strip all the videos and put them on a DVD or something.
