If those are accurate then it's interesting that the Klingon scenes were a little over 3 and a half minutes long put together, not making the film too much longer if included, and seemingly odd in light of the theory that Abrams took these out because of "Time constraints." At the very least, would have been nice to have that 49 seconds of the Narada being taken over. I was thinking these were several minutes long at least by how some people made it sound.

Yeah I remember this. Just some fans kept speculating that it was cut due to time constraints. Guess we'll see how it "confused" the story then.

The 4-issue comic isn't just based on the deleted scenes. They're filling in and adding stuff to it.

Maybe It wasn't clear...............

In the UK they actually speed up the movies when they are on video.
So a movie that runs 120 minutes in the theater (and on the US video formats) will be 115 minutes on the british system.

The times that are displayed on the link are from the British video and ARE shorter than they will be in the US. (by around 4 or 5%)

If It wasn't clear and you misunderstood I'm very sorry, If you dispute what was posted you are flat-out wrong and don't know what you're talking about. Period.

Search For spock for example runs 105 minutes and a few seconds in theater in the US & UK and 105 minutes in the US formats BUT
on video in Britain it runs about 101 minutes---because it is sped up.

The link was from the 'video version' of the deleted scenes that the British consumer will see when he buys/rents the movie.




Notice how after the title it says film or video....
For the film version it is 105 min and 3 seconds
for all the following times they approved it for video it runs between 100 minutes and 47-50 seconds.
So if you watch a movie on the British video system---you are watching the movie sped up.
That very thought makes my skin crawl.

Darn, I was really hoping for some longer featurettes on the making of the movie. 15 minutes doesn't seem like enough time to really cover much.

The casting one is longer, but most of that is stuff we probably already know about.

Sorry I didn't know that. I've answered that question in so many different forums---I didn't know how else to try to make it clear.

As it reads above, it makes a pretty good illustration of what you were talking about -- I see no problem there.

However, it's a quirk/feature of vBulletin (our BBS software) that copy/pasting brings along the images and formatting tags which accompany the text; you just need to be careful to edit those out before posting. Simply highlighting the text after you've pasted it and hitting the

button above left will usually take care of the formatting tags all at once. If the images (in this case, there were a number of rating/classification badges such as those seen on this page) are something you wish to include, you'll want to be sure they're hosted on your own webspace. That's all I'm saying.
