I got nuBSG seasons 1 to 4 and Lost season 1 on dvd.

Enjoy. I brought the final chapter as a birthday present last week. Fiinished it over the weekend.

I just brought a large McFeast meal.

I really need to buy a new mouse for this laptop I got also.

I got Rocky on Blu-ray today.

I also got season 1 of Chuck on DVD for a friend's birthday which is coming up soon.

I'm on the fence. I nearly bought this today (after looking at it multiple times over the past few months) but I can't decide if I actually like it, or if it would look terrible in person. It might just look like the necklace was permanently misaligned, or something.

The thing is, I even have a giftcard to the store. But money is money, and I don't want to throw it away on something I'd never wear.

Okay, I gave in and bought it. Also this, as I'm a sucker for cute hairbands.

I did some shopping today:
I got myself new running shoes, size 13 (48):

New glasses/frame (pictures coming soon) and I picked out my birthday present!
My folks wanted to buy me a new watch, and I picked this one, a Pulsar Nevada:

Gears of War: Jacinto's Remnant by Karen Traviss, Body of Lies (DVD), Atlantis S5 (DVD), some fudge and marshmallows:)

2 tickets to WWE Monday Night Raw in Toronto on September 14th. 4 rows away from the ring on the east side.

I couldn't even sleep last night. I've been watching wrestling for 23 years and never got to go to a WWF/Event (went to TNA No Surrender last year but I am not a regular fan of TNA and it's certainly no WWE) so I am just shitting my pants. It's literally a dream come true and I'll be so close to the ring, I'll be getting wrestler sweat on me.

I can't wait to boo John Cena and I am hoping (though I know it wont happen) that Piper would be the guest host. Oh god, that would make my life complete. I'll be wearing my Hotrod shirt, regardless.

A box of breath mints to break a 50 € bill - the clerk was none too happy.

I'm not surprised. Just out of curiosity, how much are breath mints over there?

They cost me a whole 55 cents. But, well - the only reason I bought them in the first place was because I needed to make some photocopies at the court library and I was quite certain that they wouldn't take my bill there at all.
At least I'm not as bad as my dad who once used a 500,- DM bill to pay for a swimming pool admission fee: 1,- DM I believe.

I bought two pairs of casual slacks, which is notable (to me, though not to anybody else, I fear ;) ) for several reasons, some of which are detailed in the gal-thread, so forgive my repeating it here:
1. They are long enough.
2. But just barely, even though they are supposed to be "talls."
3. This even though I am not actually terribly tall - I'm 5' 8 1/2", and if I have this much trouble, I cannot imagine how taller women manage. Mail order or online shopping? Gunfire?
4. It took me three stores to find them, too. Finding tall jeans was fairly easy (though it probably won't be the next time I need tall jeans), finding dress slacks wasn't too bad, but those in-between, dressier-than-jeans-but-not-too-dressy...that was hard. And annoying.

Been a while since I've had to calculate rates of exchange for DM (Used to give them out for overseas travel to our staff and I don't recall ever giving out a DM500 note). I bet the staff really loved him for that:D

At that time we went swimming every sunday and since the employee knew us, she would let us in without taking the money. While we were having fun in the pool she oranized the change and let my dad pay upon leaving. Pretty cool of her.
But she hated him anyway since my dad would buy a "family ticket" and not only take me and my brother but also our friends, so that we showed up with a different kid practically every week. She thought he was setting a bad example and well - she was not wrong about that.
Not that this made a huge financial difference for the swimming pool since it was community funded and the admission fee mostly symbolic, I guess.

I bought a wonderful hardback edition of 19 collected illustrated Beatrix Potter stories, a Peter Rabbit stuffed toy and a siberian husky puppy (huge) stuffed toy for the birthday of a very special little girl.

Oh, and a Disney Princesses very pink cake, of course. :D

You're doing it wrong. Other people are supposed to buy presents for you, you're not supposed to buy them for yourself! ;)

Last friday I got Lasik eye sugery and no longer need glasses.
A big part of my day to day life since March 1975 is now a memory.
