The Fantastic Mr. Fox trailer

Woah this slipped out of slight quickly. Really no one else interested in this? I mean sure we got a fine collection of people right here but I was expecting more.

SWEET! Roald Dahl + Wes Anderson = EPIC WIN. At least in my book. :D

I completely agree... with your book. But I would like to amend that to say Roald Dahl + Wes Anderson + Stop Motion Animation = EPIC WIN. I looooove stop motion.

But I am really really looking forward to this especially now that I have gotten a look at the animation. It is a little crude but I think it fits nicely with Wes' patented low-budget 1970's aesthetic. :bolian:

I've no special love (or hate, for that matter) for stop motion. But I certainly appreciate the way this particular film looks. I'm not even a big Roald Dahl fan, but I'll most likely go see this flick. Looks pretty good.

That's beautiful animation - and it's a super book. Children should be fed Roald Dahl from a very early age.

Well it's being made by an American, payed with American money so not surprised.
No, the crew is mostly British, just like Harry Potter, why could it not be made like that?
I just think it's annoying that it's a classic British children's book, based in England, written by a Welshman, and they fill it with wrong sounding American stars.

No one's forcing you to go see it.
Did I say it would make the movie bad? Have I been saying "This movie sucks shit", No, I'm just saying I find it annoying, especially given that the only British cast are the bad guys in such a cliché way.

I find the heist movie parallel intresting if misleading - the trailer makes it seem as if they want to do the heist because the prize is there and it seems like a good idea. In contrast, I gathered from the book (it's been a while since I read it) that because the three farmers are taking desperate measures to starve Fox, his family and the other animals as punishment for his thievery, so too the animals plan their audacious theft out of similar desperation.

Yeah, I was kinda thinking it didn't quite seem like the book, but I figured that was just messing around in the trailer.

Well when you put it like that it is kinda odd. And on second thought the Wallace and Gromit movie had a British cast and that made quite a bit of money so i wonder why they didn't with this? Hm.
