Today I was in a Disney film...

It's a happy thread.

When turned on tv this morning there was a film with my name in the title and from then on I was in a film version of my day...

Drive to supermarket and get favourite parking spot (we all have them:vulcan:). Rain stopped as we walked into town. (Do you recall the Simpson's episode when Homer gets his own theme tune ~ that was so totally me today):guffaw:

Have lunch with my man in busy pub where it takes me 10 mins to join him at table after being 'Hailed' by aquaintances. (There is nothing like feeling popular ~ I'm not gloating, it really doesn't happen that often:()

Run errands with no queues ~ even in the £1 shop where I bought jolly brollies.

Got home to find distraught neighbour with flat car battery and was able to 'recharge' him.

Tackled the 'cupboard of doom' due to son wanting to find something ~ you know the one where you chuck all the crap and the empty boxes in and close the door. And spent couple of hours unearthing precious childhood memories ~ beloved books, signed shirt from his primary school, and 'Operation' game which still works. Took us completely back in time... "remember this..." etc. Now have car full of old computer parts, an ancient printer, very old typewriter, speakers (I know full well someone will say to me in the next couple of days ~ I really need a set of speakers, a pool table with three legs, or a collection of shoe boxes but it's too late, they are in the car and heading for the tip:lol:)

As men are out, being a Friday, I watched crap on tv, had 2 cakes for dinner and surrounded myself with incense and candles. :techman:

Then spent this evening watching old videos which I must get rid of and filing and labelling my dvd collection.

It's been a good day.

Please tell me other people have had something good happen to them today, and actually what in your opinion constitutes 'good'?:)

Hubby, daughter and I went to see "Julie and Julia" and all of us enjoyed it. Then then had a nice lunch out, thanks to some money from his mom which will also pay for the daughter's three wisdom teeth surgery in a bit over a week.

Hubby felt well and I had parking place at the theatre what made unloading/loading the wheel chair easier than usual.

Sometimes just the basics make it a great day.

And "Psych" starts back up tonight!

:) It is the little things that make a day so good.

I'm glad you had a good day ancientone.
And hope wisdom teeth come out ok :techman:

Did the birds come down from the trees to sing with you? Because it's not a proper Disney day without that, sorry. :p

^ They rested on my shoulders and the fawns danced alongside me whilst the bunnies played at my feet ~ tis true ;)
And Holdfast you will never get a Disney-Day if you don't believe :p

On friday me, my twinsister, AA and kiddo went miniature golfing, and then took a walk home. Got my brothers to come over aswell and we had a great dinner and talks. Loved it.

Today we (AA, me and Kiddo) has been to the playground, where I occupied the gigantic swing and laid there reading while the sun shined down. Bliss.

After several days of rain on our holiday, Thursday dawned bright and clear. Mr WillsBabe, NieceBabe and I piled into the car with our bodyboards, wetsuits and factor 30, and headed north to my favourite beach. The radio played good tunes all the way there and the traffic was unseasonably light. We arrived in plenty of time to find a parking space close to the surf. Mr WillsBabe treated us all to a big, fat cup of chia and a surfers' breakfast. We then hit the beach to find that the surf was about 4-5 ft and pretty choppy. My favourite bodyboarding conditions. Caught some awesome waves that day!

They say, life's a beach, and really, Thursday was for me!

:):) 'Tis all good Disney-Joy :techman:

And Willsbabe I did originally read that you 'piled into the car with your bodyguards' ~ I was momentarily awed, but bodyboards are cool too

last night I had a great time at a friend's house
we played Adverbs which is a silly party game where one person goes into another room while the rest think of an adverb to act out (quickly, rhythmically etc) and the person come back in and asks the rest of the group to act out certain things while they try to guess what the adverb is :D
so much fun! we were all laughing so hard by the end my head started to throb

^ :guffaw: Oh, I love the idea of bodyguards! Did you, by any chance, get the idea that they might look anything like Hugh Jackman, Gerrard Butler and Craig Daniel? Because, you know, that would totally be the icing on otherwise perfect day.

I love games like that ~ you can't beat a game of alcohol fueled charades for a good giggle

I couldn't make them out they were all wearing dark sunnies.:guffaw:
They did look fit though, Yeah I'm now getting a vision of the bodyguards bodyboarding...;)

(and great to see the ultimate bodyguard Worf in your av:))

That was Peter in Family Guy with the theme music. Don't want to be a dampner!

I've had days like that..Reality Happiness Distortion Field set to 11..when traffic magically clears ahead of me, and the weather (forecast for deep fry) actually is better than the A/C in the apartment..My wife shines with beauty and I can do no wrong..No birds singing..more like dancing frogs all around..

Was about 5 days ago..

Every day I live, another fairy dies. Painfully. :p

Have this nice shiney red apple I have prepared especially for you :)

Oooh! Pretty!

Hmm, kind of bitter, and why do I smell almonds....?

brb..........

*Kisses little bunny wabbit on nose and skips away wearing her blue checked dress and white apron, braided hair with basket on arm and a wide smile* :D
The evil Holdy is dead *cue twinkly music and dancing forest animals...*

It's OK, the end credits are now playing, so I can miraculously come back to life and repent of my evil ways.

Until the sequel.
