It's a happy thread.
When turned on tv this morning there was a film with my name in the title and from then on I was in a film version of my day...
Drive to supermarket and get favourite parking spot (we all have them
). Rain stopped as we walked into town. (Do you recall the Simpson's episode when Homer gets his own theme tune ~ that was so totally me today)
Have lunch with my man in busy pub where it takes me 10 mins to join him at table after being 'Hailed' by aquaintances. (There is nothing like feeling popular ~ I'm not gloating, it really doesn't happen that often
)
Run errands with no queues ~ even in the £1 shop where I bought jolly brollies.
Got home to find distraught neighbour with flat car battery and was able to 'recharge' him.
Tackled the 'cupboard of doom' due to son wanting to find something ~ you know the one where you chuck all the crap and the empty boxes in and close the door. And spent couple of hours unearthing precious childhood memories ~ beloved books, signed shirt from his primary school, and 'Operation' game which still works. Took us completely back in time... "remember this..." etc. Now have car full of old computer parts, an ancient printer, very old typewriter, speakers (I know full well someone will say to me in the next couple of days ~ I really need a set of speakers, a pool table with three legs, or a collection of shoe boxes but it's too late, they are in the car and heading for the tip
)
As men are out, being a Friday, I watched crap on tv, had 2 cakes for dinner and surrounded myself with incense and candles.
Then spent this evening watching old videos which I must get rid of and filing and labelling my dvd collection.
It's been a good day.
Please tell me other people have had something good happen to them today, and actually what in your opinion constitutes 'good'?
