Ditto. I loose phones so easily that I just get the free ones through the service. I know a few people who have looked down on me for not carrying some uber-expensive cellphone but I don't see any point in paying $300 for something that I just going to leave in a pub or drop down a sewer grate.

Naked, I don't work with mortar or grease or paint or any other thing that would be able to ruin my phone, so I don't need to protect it from my environment.
Nor would I carry it around in a purse filled with things that could destroy it.

A pocket with nothing but my phone is enough for me.

Mine is naked. When I get a new one (every some years) I often think about getting a cover, but at the time I decide which one I like best, the phone is already covered in scratches, so the point becomes moot.

I had a flip-phone once, and I spent the next three years making a fool of myself talking in it like it was a TOS communicator. I will not buy another any time soon.
