those DAMN LEGO games...

I can't stand them..well..actually I spent so much of my time playing the STAR WARS one, I vowed never to do it again..

But now my wife and son have DS systems and have been playing Raiders..BATMAN and star wars. They like RAIDERS the best. But today, because of they have been playing RAIDERS so much in the past week,we watched Raiders and Temple of Doom. They had a blast pointing out the parts of the games that matched the movies...

SO WHY hasn't Star Trek done a legos game? This such a no brainer to get new fans INTO star trek. Are they thinking about it? Or is paramount still stupid when it comes to these "hip" ideas?

You know, that's really a great idea!

I got hooked on the Indiana Jones 3 movies in 1 game on the x-box, and it was good harmless fun for awhile.

And there's a few ways you can take the Star Trek, too! You can do 3 TOS era movies very easily. Khan would have so many good lego moments to poke fun at!

But the last movie would also lend itself well to a lego game. Kirk getting into the bar fight, popping those arms and legs out in the process. It's almost too perfect!

Yeah..I wonder how they would do trek...2-3-4 could be a great game set...then TNG centric/DS9 as well. That might be to much to ask..but definately some TOS/TOS MOVIE sets..

If Lego video games are too hip for Paramount, why is Indiana Jones a Lego game?

Paramount is working on Lego Benjamin Button and Lego Van Wilder. :p

I love Lego SW, except for Dagobah and those damn bats!

Lego ST? Put me on Pre-Order!

I think a Star Trek LEGO game would work best with an original storyline with familiar villians and plots (much like the Batman game).

LEGO doesn't own the Star Trek license.

Star Wars, IJ, and Harry Potter (Coming "Soon") were all made into real sets at some point.

They are also making LEGO IJ4, which they have sets for. The only game they don't have sets for is LEGO Rock Band, but they whore out the name anyways.

Traveller's Tales is the main developer of the Lego games (I think there are other developers who do porting work). Right now they're working on Lego Rock Band, Lego Indiana Jones 2 and Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4, with rumors about a Lego LotRs in development. I would imagine that they don't have time to work on a lot of other games right now.

It would also depend on who owns the Star Trek license now... and I have no idea who that might be.

Because TIIC decided to sell the license for Star Trek building block toys to Mega Bloks, instead of Lego. If they had gone for Lego chances are we would be playing Lego Star Trek now, surrounded by Mini-fig Picards and Kirks.

Don't forget that there's a Gaming forum, now.

Good thing I don't have to use an X-Box controller to send this there. Never could get the hang of those things.

Never really was into the Lego games, myself.

PC elitist!

I looove the Lego games. A Star Wars one would be great. There are actually a lot of franchises out there that would make for very fun Lego games. My boyfriend and I just finished Indiana Jones on the Wii...I have to admit I loved using the Wiimote to whip things.

According to Wikipedia the publisher of Star Trek DAC was Paramount Digital Entertainment, perhaps Bethesda no longer has the Star Trek license (or maybe they don't have the license to release downloadable games, only full retail games).

Yeah, I guess the last full game that came out was that Xbox 360 starship game.

As it stands though, the games are mostly based on standing relationships - Lego with Lucas and then Warner Brothers with Batman, Harry Potter and LoTR. I think Rock Band is the first real "outside" concept that they've pursued.

I like playing Lego Star Wars II every once in a while. Too bad they are so easy.

Maybe they'll do Trek when the next sequel comes out?
