Sam can cross animal kingdoms when shifting...hmmm...could he turn into a dragon and fight ANGEL?
I've carefully avoided referring to Sam as a were- or Were-animal, because he's not. Now that Daphne has "outed" other Supes in this show, we can talk a little more about them.
There are Weres (capital). These are Were-Panthers, Were-Tigers, and other big cats, but usually when Weres are involved, they are Were-Wolves. Capital Weres are big, tough, and are usually biker-types, or in the military. Places that it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for the human side to be big, built, tough.
Then there are the weres (little). These are supes that turn into other animals ... wererabbit, wereowl, etc. Small, not all that powerful.
Then there's Sam's type. They are Shifters. Shifters can morph into any animal type they choose ... they are not limited to one specific animal form. There is a slight problem with Sam's ability, though it's not really come out on the show all that much. He can only Shift into the most recent animal he's seen. When you look around in his office, there is a picture of that dog he turns into. He also has that dog as a pet. That's the last animal he saw, so that's what he turns into. Tonight, he saw an owl, so that's what he could turn into.
And there are a LOT more on the way.
I'm glad Daphne is gone. I wanted her gone awhile ago. I didn't see her really bringing anything to the show. Though the way she bit it wasn't very nice, it was typical MaryAnn.
Poor, silly, Barry. He's still new to all this. I love seeing him at this stage.
I think Hoyt is the most realistic character on this show. Everything he's done recently has been invented for the camera, and I think it's working well. It's grounding the fantastical in reality. And I like that.
Just gotta say, "modern" Godric is HOT.

Allan Hyde, the actor, definitely brings the pretty.
