I've been casting about for a good one lately and I think this is "it." Be well!
I have a CD by that guy. I loved "Flaming Supernova" & "Are You Salt-less Tonight."
You Ain't Nothin' But a Sun Dog
Suspicious Mines
Heartbreak Black Hole
I Just Can't Help Calculating
Subduction
Can't Help Falling in Space Time
Don't Be Crew Hell
All Spored Up
Horta House Rock
Hunk of Burning Meteor
Viva Delta Vega
Are You Handsome Tonight
Return to Transmitter
You'll Never Spacewalk Alone

AMOK TIME. You have excellent taste, even though Whom Gods Destroy is absent from your list...but after all, it's your list.;)

You put Omega Glory on your favourites' list? :wtf:

To me it's Journey to Babel. It has just the perfect balance for an episode of Star Trek. Honorable mentions to Amok Time and Doomsday Machine.

Wow wow wow . I was inspired to try my hand at some, but no, I will just acknowledge your greatness. "Crew Hell" is hiLARious.

Just so. And I'll add honorable mentions to the two you named plus City On The Edge of Forever and Tomorrow Is Yesterday (love the image of the big E in the 1960s US sky).

But J2B is my fave episode by far.

Journey To Babel is a canny balance of almost all the things I love about TOS, just a fine episode with wonderful performances. The interplay between Sarek and Amanda is delightful - they seem so very *married*, interspecies or no - plus the repartee between Spock and Bones, the family discord, the Kirk fight scene, the stealth ship, Bones getting the last word - all just great Trek stuff.

I must confess I'm still in love with Sarek, 40+ years after original air date. A thousand thanks to whomever cast Mark Lenard - the TV gods were surely smiling that day. Lenard invests Sarek with so much wisdom, charm, mental accuity - there is so much depth to the character despite very modest screen time. Lenards line readings are just classic. You can easily believe this man is one of the most impressive statesmen in the Federation and also one of the most formidable. And while you realize that Sarek loves his wife and son, he is completely "Vulcan".

Wyman's hair is something else though:lol:

J2B is the FIRST ep I bought on DVD back in the day. Without the remastered FX, I might have picked it as my favourite, as it's so absolutely rich in character & content.

Have you read the bottom of my posts?:wtf:
I don't usually read anybody's bottom if I can help it. :borg:

Just kidding. I just think it's not really a great episode. The shoehorning of the US flag and constitution, evolved mysteriously identical on another planet, just like they were a law of nature, is too much for me.

I agree wholeheartedly. Lenard as Sarek is just wonderful.

When I was a kid I didn't like it for that reason, but later, when I realized everyone in the galaxy speaks English, I figgered it was possible.;)

I was not mistaken, was I -- your avatar does have pointed ears?

Mark Lenard and Leonard Nimoy created Vulcans. No small feat.

"Doomsday Machine" for me, with honorable mention to "Shore Leave," which is my second- or third-favorite light-hearted episode. ("I, Mudd" and "Tribbles" are my top two.) "Journey to Babel" is a perfectly fine episode, but its main attraction is that it has Mark Lenard in it. Be still my beating heart!

Oh, Jeri and Rackon, how about "Blue-Skinned Shoes," "Green Girls! Green Girls! Green Girls!" and "I Can't Stop Transporting You"?

Yes, to the pointed ears, b/c Spock is one of my heroes. I haven't posted anything about Vulcans, actually.

As far as Sp'Elvis tunes, I can't resist. So:

"Jailhouse Surak" (pronounce it fast)
"Return to Sender" (special V'ger remix by DJ-Ilia)

I'm lovin' these! Kate, the shoe one: I was also thinking of "Blue Rocket Boots" from the movie.

Ooh, ooh, ooh: "Kissin' Cardassians"!

And Chris, "It's Now and Never" is FABulous. My favorite of yours, Jeri, is "Viva Delta Vega", and Plynch, "Return to Sender" is a hoot!
