Well, being a virgin is neither something to be proud or ashamed. It's just a state of being. For me, virginity represents a barrier to a level of intimacy I wish to seek, not simply because of hormones. My faith explores human relationships, and links them with the spiritual. Sex is a binding between the human and the spiritual, and makes for a level of intimacy unmatchable by prayer and meditation. To see the power and passion of God in a lover's eyes, that is a level of spiritual achievement. That is a level I seek.
