It's fun to think of plot lines like this. A McCarthy-esque witch hunt going on among Vulcans for instance. It doesn't seem likely V'Las could rise to such a powerful position without support, or sleeper agents still active within the High Command.
As with past storylines, the Andorians would revert to their old distrustful ways, getting back into a conflict with the Vulcans... maybe even Humanity this time too. But Archer would always have Shran's ear (or antenna
). Having lost his ship and been banished in disgrace, he would be a free agent by that season and an unofficial advisor living aboard the NX-01... or so I imagine.
