Jake Lloyd lilAnakin 10 years later

Personally I could not care less if been in TPM put a dampener on his life growing up. He was part of a huge franchise and got paid for it, man up Jake. Despite what I think of TPM I'd have loved to be part of a Star Wars film, let along have a pivotal role.

Well, he was a kid and constantly being ragged on since he was 10 years old. That would take a toll on anyone. However, in the interview, he seems to take it now in good stride.

Besides, he didn't say he wanted to take it back or regretted it. In fact, he said the exact opposite.

While he seemed very shy/uncomfortable in the interview, Jake Lloyd, I think, has the potential to be the Wesley Crusher of the Star Wars universe.

He seems to be very aware of the small faults in the prequels.

It may be true that he didn't seem to have that knack that you either have or you don't...but with all the bluescreen and stuff I don't really say I blame a 10 year-old for not being a really good actor in that kind of movie.

Why does he tell people he was Anakin Skywalker?

It's not like people usually remember the names of all the actors do they?

There's probably always some geek around, and he wouldn't be able to avoid it in school, all it would take is one to find out and spread the word and when he was 10 probably every kid had actually seen it. I wonder how many times some kid yelled "Yippee!" at him.

He seems rather bitter and glum though, that's too bad, and he probably read all the negative criticisms of his performance and all that.

Plus, lets face it, if you were cast in Star Wars when you were ten, you would tell all of your friends about it. Regardless if it turns out good or bad, it's frickin' Star Wars.

In my school if you got a small part in a McDonalds's commercial 5 years earlier everyone would know about it. All it takes is one person to make the connection and the gossip spreads like wildfire.

Also, it is not like it was some obscure small movie. It was Star Wars. The first movie after 15 years. The anticipation from old and new fans was huge. Even if Lloyd told no one he was in it, nearly everyone from his school would have gone seen it and recognized him.

I didn't really have a problem with Jake in TPM per se, but I do wish that Anakin was older in it, perhaps Luke's age in ANH.
