Again, please don't use spoilers from the final novel in guessing what might be happening in the next movie. Some us have tried very hard to avoid the books prior to seeing the movies.
If it's something that happened in the novel of HBP, no problem.
Much appreciated.

Why did you make this choice?
It's kind of weird that an author is avoiding books in favour of films, since books are almost always a richer experience.
That is an excellent question.
First, since I've been a non-stuffy movie critic for over 30 years, I like to judge a movie AS a movie -- if it can stand on its own, and if it works as a movie. If I read the book first, it ruins that complete objectivity. (I have a number of brilliant friends who can tell me the changes that were made after I see it. They all have liked the adaptations so far, and I'm assuming Rowling gets a wee bit of a say in giving her approval as well, so they're basically fine adaptations from her point of view).
Also, I don't read the book first for the same reason I avoid spoilers. I get to enjoy the What as well as the How. If I know
all the surprises going in, then why am I seeing the movie? Just to see HOW they do something? That's only
half the fun potential. I don't
want to know who gets killed, or married, or hurt ahead of time. I want to be surprised. I want to see if the movie CAN surprise me.
That's pretty much it.
