GI Joe Re-Release!

In order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our classic cartoons, Transformers and GI Joe both will get re-released DVDs this summer. So far Transformers is out. This Tuesday will be GI Joe. I wonder if they get past the first season.

From what I've seen, a boxed set of all of the GI JOE (Sunbow produced) series is on the way, as well as individual releases.

I am afraid I am not that dedicated. Something in me just will not let me pay over $100.00 for just one set. The closest I have come in recent memory is paying approx 75.00 for the Robotech Protoculture Collection.

Of course I do intend to get the season sets when they come out.

BTW, does anyone know if this first set will contain the two original miniseries?

From the reviews I've seen, yes, it does. This makes it different from the RHINO releases, which released the two first miniseries seperately.

Such only occurs (a $125+ set purchase) for me about once a year, so I indulge myself with the excuse of reliving my childhood. Which, truly, it is and I am. I bought the Time Life Real Ghostbusters set too, and have enjoyed it, as did my 3 year old nephew.

Now I am really getting excited about this season 1 release. I have not seen the miniseries in at least a decade. I cannot even remember if they were ever aired in the 90s.
