my TV GUILTY pleasure

Not sure why people have guilty pleasures. I enjoy telling people what I like because I have no shame.

I love:

-Ghostbusters
-Miami Vice
-Sailor Moon
-Thundercats
-Transformers
-GI Joe
-C.O.P.S (not to be confused with the other COPS)
-Care Bears

I could care less who laughed. I'm awesome.

I agree with your sentiments, and most of your list. I never saw Miami Vice (movie or TV show). Anyone who has seen my profile knows I still watch cartoons. I have no problem admitting this in the real world either.

It's interesting to see what different people consider a guilty pleasure show to be. On this board I would define it as reality shows and traditional sitcoms. However in the "real world" most of the people I know watch these shows so they aren't guilty pleasures at all. For the rest of the world I think scifi would be a guilty pleasure.

The closest I ever got to a 'guilty pleasure' was during the 2007 ALCS when I cheered for the Red Sox.

(It was because they were playing the Indians, who had just beaten the Yankees - my favorite team - in the ALDS. And I felt that I could not immediately start cheering *for* the Indians when I'd just finished rooting *against* them.)

Now, of course, I'd never do this, 'cuz I have fully immersed myself on the side of the Yankees in this great and glorious rivalry. But I was new to baseball back then...

I haven't really had a guilty pleasure tv show since Andromeda finished it's run. Heroes seems to be close to becoming one since it's in vogue now to criticize it harshly. I still enjoy it and don't feel guilty enough for still watching and enjoying it.

Grey's Anatomy. It's such a soap. Such a girls show. Yet I love it.

Well, I'm a girl, and I love it too. Yet still think it's a guilty pleasure. Especially this last season, which bordered on the ridiculous on a few occasions.

What can I say? I care about most of those characters! Seasons 1 thru 4 made me care...and now I can't stop caring.

It's true that I could do without George. And I find myself wishing Private Practice would fail so that Addison could come back to Grey's Anatomy where she belongs (Addison was probably my favorite female character).

But Grey's has had some great moments over the years. And while this past season was not my favorite, I still love most of the characters and hope good things for them in the end.

And BTW, I think it's cool that you like this show. But then, you never seem to fail to impress me. ;)

I honestly don't know if i could even answer this question. I genuinely hate the vast majority of drivel that turns up on TV. Phineas and Ferb, maybe?

No reason to feel guilty about Phineas and Ferb. It's brilliant!

"Hey! Where's Perry?"

Charmed. It was terrible, but I loved it.

I loved Charmed too. What's not to love?

As for me, it's gotta be Dharma and Greg. I still watch the repeats all the time. Both sets of parents are hysterical.

"Hey! Where's Perry?"

It's the songs that make the show for me. "Bow chicki bow wow, that's what my baby says..."

And I like the fact that the big sister is the one who always suffers. Not that I hate her or anything, it's just that her place is usually filled by a male!

Agreed.

Busted.

The Backyard Beach.

And of course, Mom's Birthday Song.

It's really a great show. My 6 year old and I watch it together, and I don't know who likes it more...

"Behold, my ________-inator!!!"

Not saying it's anything wrong to be a girl, it's just that people keep being surprised when they learn that I love the show. Maybe I look to manly

And yeah you pretty much sum it up for me (especially Addison, I love her.). That and I almost always laugh several times an episode. No other show on TV these days makes me do that.

24, though I was less guilty about it during the first two seasons.
Stargate Atlantis, though I was less guilty about it during the first season.
Burn Notice might count, since I only enjoy it for Bruce Campbell, and am far more ashamed to be watching it due to all the others involved.
