Should Phase II move on?

The only thing I'd like to know is: Is there a chance that Jeff Quinn might ever return to Phase II? I loved his Spock.[/QUOTE]

Of course there's a "chance". James speaks to him often and he knows the door is open, should he ever be interested.

For the record... New Voyages: Phase II does accept script submissions. Anyone interested simply has to contact the story editor for a copy of the New Voyages: Phase II "writer's/director's guide" ... which contains submission guidelines.

That's great! Who is the story editor and is his/her email posted on the P2 website? Is there a "SUBMISSION GUIDELINES" or "CONTACT" button I should be looking for?

Actually, I have not spoken to Jeff in some months, but I did make it clear to him that the door was always open, and that it was his decision. Just as it was his decision for his previous unavailability. For the record I love Jeff Quinn, he is a great guy and a member of this family always.

:shifty: uh... that would be me....

The "contact" buttons takes all emails to the liaison, which will forward your email to me.

But you can take the shortcut and email me at pattyawright at gmail dot com and I will email the writer's guide and submissions guidelines to you.

PLEASE DON'T SEND ANY SUBMISSIONS without getting the guide first. As Greg indicated, there are legal issues and we need forms signed and submitted with any scripts or story ideas.

Jeff is a great guy and one of those people that brings alot of life and energy to the group.

If they are going to keep going they need to get back to great story telling like In Harm's Way..I consider that to be their best episode ever..Blood and Fire has alienated some of their fans, some never to return.
And yet it doesn't seem to have affected their viewership. If anything it's gone up.

But keep tiliting at that windmill if it makes you feel better.

Hi Nick! Hope things are going well with you!

And thanks for pointing this out... yes, BaF Part 1 is now by far the most widely watched episode. And new fans are going back and watching many of the older ones as well.

[ Also, for Phase II we read about all these other episodes going before the camera (like "The Child" & "Kitumba") and not a peep about the conclusion to "Blood & Fire."

While I am interested in New Voyages/Phase II this is the reason I have not really followed it too closely. New episode ideas being announced long before they are even ready to shot. With some seemingly being abandoned. All before in-production episodes are fully released.

It VERY confusing and frustrating. Its bad marketing. Directors and Actors try to avoid sequel talk before the current film is finished and in release for a while. Even in planned film series because they know it will distract from the current project.

Yep..a few years ago they said they would do a viginette every month until an episode was released..they did just one and no explanation or anything on why not the rest..it was quietly swept under the rug.

On the other hand, we have kept busy, by ensuring that four... count 'em... four episodes are in post production. Not bad for a couple year's work since we released WEaT.

Yes, things change. We dont make announcements because we want to look stupid when things change - so we try to make sure all of our ducks are in a row. The announcements, btw, usually coincide with starting pre-production and/or recruiting. So, it's not like we could do one without the other. Then things unexpected change. We move on. We fall back to the other Plan A.

The only other way would be us to only make announcements when things are done. Sadly, as we need crew and cast both, and thus need to drum up interest for the episode or at least announce it - in order to get said crew, things dont work that way, and are likely to ever work that way.

Best,
Rob

Well, we can't fix it if we don't know what's wrong. What few parts do you hate about our productions? It might be something we can address.

Maybe telling the truth about James getting rid of Jeff Quinn, John Lim, Andy Bray, Julienne Irons, Leslie Hoffman and Ben Tolpin? And do not say they moved on with their careers or were not available for the upcoming episode. That would not make sense because there would be no reason for James to banned some of these actors from the STNV Forum and remove their pictures from the Cast & Crew page.

Wow... you are hilarious.

As for the Cast Page... that's no big secret... *I* took them down. I am revising the pages so that each episode has a page with the correct pictures. The current page has the *current* performers. Andy's actually needs to go back on when I have the time.

Ooops... Sorry MikeNeko, you are sooooo far off base on the entire thing.

Thanks for joining in, Dave. I did not really think you were rewritten because of a headache. I was hoping to make the point that a script is rewritten for many reasons, whether the original author was a pro or not.

btw- The producers of TNG, DS9, and VOY were infamous for polishing scripts from both in-house and outside submissions as part of what most consider the duties of their job, except they would take shared credit, and therefore split the money due to the original writer. Glad to hear Cawley lets the script take precedent over egos at his studio.

To Dave Galanter:
Hi Dave! Glad you made Kitumba!!!

To Sharkey:
Indeed... so did TOS... sit down with Dorothy one day and ask her how many episodes she was story editor or did rewrites for...

Yes, it is still a work in progress and not ready for prime time. Even though you haven't been at a shoot in years, I am sure you know I do many things for the production... many others of those things which take precedent.

I havent changed my mind. And you haven't made any attempt to contact myself or one of the other producers. I still hope you do...

I agree, not a lot seems to be getting accomplished. The offer has been extended by multiple people and if MikeNeko hasn't accepted the opportunity by now it seems unlikely that he will.

My apologizes to all. Mallory, this forum has no way to PM each other? I invited several people as friends who did not take up the offer.

Is my question is, there is no way to PM each other on this forum? I brought this up in the very beginning of the thread of "Is this true?" Why did not someone say that you can not PM on this forum instead of making all these discussion public?
